re: Unemployment overpayment - HungryTiger
I agree that they'll do all they can to collect, but there may be some sort of limitations period that applies to this. I would compare date of demand to date of last payment if you can. If you're right at 5 years, that may be the period and the state may have already done there homework on that....

re: Looking for a new BBQ pit to complement my Weber Smokey Mountain - HungryTiger
I've always been intrigued by the kamado ceramic cookers, but I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money when my webers function so well and seem to be indestructible. I am envious of the ridiculously high temps the kamado can achieve, though....

Only answer is another weber, just depends on what you want to spend. I have class, no-frills weber kettle and a WSM. I'm thinking of getting rid of the kettle soon and upgrading to a weber performer. Those are some fine grills....
don't grind it.
Sounds like he bought it ground. I'd make the burger somewhat thin so you can more easily get a uniform medium cook without leaving a raw center or an overdone outside. I'd go with cast iron since you'll want to make sure you're at really high heat. Cook it in bu...

I buy most of my meat at Sam's too, and I always portion it out in servings for 1 and freeze it. A little bit of effort, but it makes it easy to cook for 1, 2, 3 or a crowd. I love marsala. I like to add just a little cream or half and half to the sauce. ...

re: I was denied in my attempt to adopt a German Shepherd from a rescue shelter - HungryTiger
Dog rescue organizations do great work. They're just very protective of their rescues to a fault. They put a lot of time and money into their rescues and would rather keep or foster the dog until they find what they perceive to be the perfect home. The aversion to allowing someone to keep the dog...

re: Did I just ruin my supper? - HungryTiger
Just had this debate with a friend. You can google to verify accuracy, but dinner refers to your large meal of the day, which traditionally was lunch, while supper is a light, evening meal. Dinner also is used to refer to more formal, event-type meals. Supper is your informal evening meal at home....
