re: Which one should I be more excited for next year? Football or Basketball - TigerScribe
Football, hands down, and for one reason - we make championship runs every four years...2003...2007...2011... This is our year. Statistical probability dictates it!...

Nola.com article on Kasonga - TigerScribe
According to this Nola.com article, Kasonga is visiting Moo State this weekend and is scheduled to visit LSU in early May. I don't know how LSU stacks up against the other schools he's considering, but this kid sounds like he'd really help compensate for the loss of Mickey, at least in terms of shot...

re: Mickey and Martin talk about future after the game - TigerScribe
A lot of guys who get drafted, even in the first round, are not NBA ready. A lot of guys get drafted on potential and perceived upside, because there just isn't as great a supply of ready talent in the NBA draft as there is, say, for the NFL draft. And some guys leave early, regardless of how unprep...

re: Why is this kid not a 5 star? Top 50 in the USA... - TigerScribe
I love his film. Fast, violent and instinctive. He anticipates well. I see he's listed at 6-0, 205 and runs a 4.48. I wonder if he could potentially grow into an OLB, considering the number of safeties we're in on for 2016. ...

Nice work, Chicken. Neat and clean. A few more to consider adding (my apologies if you already did): Erick Fowler, DE/LB Andre Anthony, DE/LB Daniel Crosley, DE/LB Caleb Roddy, DE Collin Fountain, OL Herb McGee, WR Isaiah Graham, WR Clyde Leflore-Criss, WR/CB De'Jon Harris, LB...

re: 2016 Rivals 4* QB Dwayne Haskins Gets LSU Offer - TigerScribe
I think the kid has good arm strength, not just decent. He seems to operate well from the pocket and rolling out. Jimmy Smith wrote about him recently, saying the kid really liked LSU, and if LSU offered, they would move up to the top group of his favorites. ...

re: Cole Kelly - 2016 Pro-Style Quarterback (Lafayette, LA - Teurlings Catholic) - TigerScribe
A few thoughts after watching his Hudl video: 1. He has a big time arm. Can put zip on his passes. Can throw rolling out and across his body. 2. Decent mobility. Ran fairly well on zone-read keepers. 3. He threw it behind receivers a couple times on short to mid-range slants. They caught i...

re: The preferred walk on, lewis from fla, did he enroll with us early? - TigerScribe
Yes, Lewis is an early enrollee. I pulled up his hudl film, and it didn't look too bad. He doesn't throw with great velocity, but he has good touch and placement on his passes. In terms of just passing, I thought he looked about as good as McMillan, though McMillan runs better. Also, McMillan played...

re: 2016 Louisiana Recruiting... - TigerScribe
I think if four want on board, we'll take four. You grab as many as you can when the supply is there, because it rarely is that deep at that position. I don't know which four wind up in P&G, but it looks like it will come from Alexander, Lawrence, Oliver, Jones, Logan, Guidry and perhaps Taylor....

re: DL recruits? - TigerScribe
Washington and Key committed at DE. No DTs committed, but I think we're ok there for now. We have returning next year Godchaux, Lacouture, Thomas, Valentine, Bain, Gilmore, Herron and Trey L. And the 2016 class is huge for DTs with Alexander, Lawrence, Oliver, Logan, Guidry and Jones all possibiliti...

re: If we run a 3-4 defense, how does it affect dl class of 2016 - TigerScribe
Even if LSU runs a 3-4, it may not be a standard 3-4 where each DL plays two gap. It could be a 3-4 under where they play one gap, which better fits LSU's current personnel. DL can still be disruptive and make plays in that system. ...

re: LSU defense, would LSU be better running a different defense? - TigerScribe
Nothing wrong with continuing to run a 4-3. But I want to see more pressure, varied looks and some mixed coverages to create confusion for opposing offenses. A more attacking style and more innovation, rather than just read/contain....
