The Pro runs full windows so you can run anything and are not dependent on the MS store for apps. Also download the blue stacks emulator and you can run any Android app as well. The Pen is also pretty awesome in the pro for drawing or writing. ...

They want you to switch the subscription model which allows you to have it installed consecutively on 5 PCs or Macs per month for 9.95 a month along with full Office365 which includes Email, IM, SharePoint, Skydrive Pro, etc.....

Its really nice especially if implemented with single sign on using federation. Also the newer, wave 15 comes with SkyDrive pro which replaces the My site in Sharepoint. Integrates nicely with Office 2013 ...

I just recently went through this process with a FP. They had some calculator where you gave them the age/school and they projected total cost including room and board.
For my 3 year old, LSU would project at 180-220k total for 4 years, Stanford would project at 530k.
I'm putting 800 a month...

I really think the butthurt you are referring to is MSFT tryign to shove Balmer out and needing a reason to do it. Sinofskey leaving was huge for MSFT and he primarly left because he was told he would not be the next CEO. I think MSFT expects low year 1 windows 8 figures and will use that as a noo...

You are still thinking too small terms when thinking MSFT. Microsoft is not a consumer only company and you are mainly talking consumer products. Only reason to get eyeballs is if you are dependent on Ad revenue as Google is. MS is not.
MSFT and Amazon are the best 2 positioned for Cloud servi...

I love my Audi.. i test drove the BMW, Mercedes, and Caddy.. Ended up with the Audi A6. It's like a frickign cockpit and my car is a wifi hotspot. I drives just as comfortable as my Lexus SUV and has a f'ing turbo in it.
I do have Audi Cares on it though so all maintenance is free....
