Brees and Rodgers are definitely the top 2 deep passers in the league with any significant experience.
Schuab may be up there in % and yards, but he rarely throws deep to anyone other than Johnson(and he rarely throws deep)....

Yeah Grubbs, while he would save us a meager $100,000, is making too much to be cut unless we hit on a replacement and then you keep him for veteran depth anyway(which we are lacking this year and forcing Evans to play hurt).
We still need about $4-5 mil freed up for a back loaded Graham deal, pl...

Too bad you won't get to see it as we barley run any 3-4, or 4-3 for that matter.
There was a stat earlier in the year that we were in nickel and dime over 80% of the time(maybe even was around 90%?)
Our main set has been a 4-2-5 with "OLB" Junior Galette lining up at DE. And instead of a 3rd ...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Isa Abdul Quddus over Jim Leonhard? - bonethug0108 on 10/30/13 at 4:20 am|
No matter who we kept they would have been the 5th safety and played mostly special teams with the rare end of game during blow out appearance.
The only reason we were running 4 safety sets is because we really liked our first 4 safeties. Now that Harper has been out I don't think we've run one 4...

Not surprised and I called it before the draft that the COLLEGE system he was in suited his skills but he was too lazy to adapt to the NFL and will at best be a 5-8 sack a year guy.
I guess I really overshot my estimate. :banghead:...

Honestly, and I know things can change a lot from year to year, given the current state of those teams that looks to be an easy as frick schedule. The Chicago game will depend on when we play them but outside of that these are all(currently) very winnable games.
If we keep on our current path and ...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Ryan Griffin signed to active roster - bonethug0108 on 10/22/13 at 2:29 pm|
If I understand it correctly, the Saints hold his rights and if he hadn't actually signed anything with another team then they can still promote him.
They must have caught wind of it and signed him before he could leave.
In other words, he had no choice in the matter....

| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Kenny Stills < Nick Toon - bonethug0108 on 10/11/13 at 11:30 am|
Not really, especially not about Stills since he has been getting more snaps than Meachem.
There was familiarity with Meachem and I'm sure they didn't like to see what happened to him in San Diego especially since Payton said he still saw the same talent he saw in him when he was with us.
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Kenny Stills < Nick Toon - bonethug0108 on 10/11/13 at 11:19 am|
I certainly wouldn't say that. Problem is the Saints are very deep at the skill positions so there isn't going to be a lot of balls for most guys(especially with the way Jimmy and Drew have locked on).
I think Stills playing more than half the snaps every game says they like him plenty, and had w...

Yeah I got the point but I like to throw that stat out there whenever possible because of the dumbness of the "worst defense ever" statement. We weren't even the worst defense last year in what matters.
It was nothing against you. :cheers:...

Where he deserves credit is for actually playing these young guys with talent(though that can be partially chalked up to injuries also).
Spags refused to play the young guys much if at all....
