re: James Jones released - "we should" - bonethug0108
Past production would have us believe that Goodwin and Bailey would have been big for us last year. Can't rely on really old guys any more than young unproven guys. And thanfully this year we only signed one old guy at a rotational spot and none to start. Seriously the biggest question mark is...

re: James Jones released - "we should" - bonethug0108
I gotta agree with Chad and whodatfan here that one or two of the young guys will step up(Morgan has real talent and Toon averaged 3 catches a game over the last six games; the other two have shown promise minus Coleman's early drops). Plus people forget that the third receiver will likely be the...

re: This draft was a make-up for last year's debacle - bonethug0108
It is an overraction because we have no clue which way SJB will go. Until that is known then you can't call this anything other than decent. Potential superstar WR and two great special teamers that worked into the rotation as fifth round rookies. We missed on a fourth and a sixth. Big whoop. Eve...

re: Grade the 2012 Saints Draft - bonethug0108
Just going by the picks we had I give it a B-. That could bump up to a B+ if Toon shows more this year, or could downgrade to a C- if Hicks regresses and Toon doesn't show up. Hicks has been very good for a third rounder and Toon has finally shown us some stuff. White actually played decent in 20...

re: Sean Payton On Why We Didn't Draft A WR - bonethug0108
Our passing offense just hasnt been the same. Old Colston, no Moore, no RB threat out the backfield. Now no TE. Hopefully Spiller can bring that RB dimension back in to our passing game.
Colston still put up great numbers the last two years despite what people claim. And Cooks was ...

re: This draft was a make-up for last year's debacle - bonethug0108
We may forget that this kid only played one (or was it two?) years at CB. It's not shocking that he didn't grasp everything about the position as well as trying to transition into the nfl. And we have taken "redshirt" players before so it's not the first time we waited on someone with potential. ...

re: This draft was a make-up for last year's debacle - bonethug0108
Yes last year was a disappointment but in spite of the fact that everyone we brought in or relied on to step up failed in some way (even Cooks got injured) we were still a few plays away from 11-5. And this was with the immaturity running rampant. This year literally the biggest and only hole we ...

re: Sean Payton On Why We Didn't Draft A WR - bonethug0108
Don't get me wrong Coach I wanted a WR also. A nice speed guy so we wouldn't have to rely on Morgan of Cooks went down. I'm going to put a little trust out there because the Saints have done so by signing him again. But wanting a WR and those saying we needed one are two very different things. ...

re: This draft was a make-up for last year's debacle - bonethug0108
How so? The guys brought in this year (Spencer aside) are vastly different than the ones last year. We were bringing guys in near the end of their careers as potential starters or relied on unproven players. This year we brought in legit guys that have played at high levels. Ellerbe and ...

re: Sean Payton On Why We Didn't Draft A WR - bonethug0108
An important note on Toon is he had 17 receptions from week 12 on after only playing in 2 games prior to that. He played every game from week 12 on. He averaged about 3 catches a game over that span. So yeah the light came on and they finally started to give him a chance after deciding to move on...

re: This draft was a make-up for last year's debacle - bonethug0108
Debacle? Why does everyone continue to overreact like this? Here's the facts. We got a potential stud WR in the first. Definitely on track. We got what we knew was a project CB in the second. This pick will determine if this was a good draft or just a meh one. We got a guy that looked very ...

re: I'm so happy a pick wasn't wasted on one of the "Edge Rushers" - bonethug0108
He had 140+ tackles and 40 tackles for a loss the last two years. He can play the run. Averaging 20 tackles for a loss a year in a 12-13 game season is pretty damn good. And I never said he was great in coverage, just that he has played in coverage unlike a lot of these other one dimensional pass...

re: LB selection sunshine pumping up your arse. - bonethug0108
Yeah I think both Kikaha and Tull are athletic enough to play both Sam and Jack but from what Payton said Kikaha will train more at Sam and Tull more at Jack with cross training for both. I think the talk about Tull playing DE is a bit much though. Maybe he can play the Will? And the guy that bro...

One small thing I noticed was wrong in that article was that Payton actually said Kikaha would start off at the Sam with Haralson, not the Jack with Galette. Though Payton said he can play both....

re: UDFA Salary Structure - bonethug0108
Aside from a team savings bonus money, which is very little in the grand scheme of things, it's pretty much choosing the best situation for his long term outlook. A team offering him the starting LT job has a much better shot at signing him than someone offering a hollow future contract promise. ...

re: Put a Grade on the Sean Payton- 12 player 2015 UFDA recruiting class - bonethug0108
We only had 11 roster spots. Some guys being said to have signed are actually only tryout players. The only way we can sign more than 11 is if we released someone currently on the roster. It's also possible we pull someone who was going to sign for someone else. Bottom line is unless someon...
