re: Rita "Benson" Leblanc - bonethug0108
So on the one hand Rita and co are "worried" about paw paw and him being controlled and they still love and care about him, but on the other hand frick the Benson name because he's being an a-hole to them. Yeah they care. Bout that money....

re: Ingram is "definitely wanted back" - bonethug0108
That was me. I was surprised by the amount of comparable backs so I decided to post it. If he was a FA last year(with this year's production) he would have broke the bank because last year's crop was barren. This year is flooded. He still has his age and his "proven" ability to be a workhorse ...

re: OLB/DE prospects who are worthy of being picked at #13 - bonethug0108
At the moment Shaq Thompson is THE guy I want. Super athletic and versatile. Played nickel, safety, line backer, and running back. He is the speed we are missing on defense. If they had a top notch corner I would put that on par, but this class seems really weak at the top....

re: How many more seasons like this...... - bonethug0108
Anything outside of cuts/pay cuts is almost a given. Cuts/pay cuts will depend on how we want to approach our roster. The rest of the stuff is built in house cleaning to avoid guarantees up front....

How about you actually read the article you linked? If you had you would see that CURRENTLY we are in a bad spot but then lists about 10 ways we can get under the cap. That's exactly what Mickey and I and others are saying. Currently we are over but once adjustments are made we'll be more than fi...

re: Is Brees still one of the top 5 QBs - bonethug0108
this season?
One season does not make you elite. This was by far Roth's best year. Romo didn't need to pass nearly as much the past 2 seasons(look at his yards). The one recent year he threw for big yards he also threw for 19 picks. Despite Manning's super hot start last year ...

re: Is Brees still one of the top 5 QBs - bonethug0108
We might be watching Manning's last game right now. He looked bad the last month+
Having had him as my fantasy QB I can attest to this. I won games starting week 13 in spite of Manning. 5 tds, 6 ints, 2 fumbles, and 234 ypg over the last 5 regular season games. 211 yards and 1 td to...

re: Cap Heaven? - Cuts and Drew Brees Extension - bonethug0108
Good stuff but your math is wrong on a lot of guys. I'll have to find the salary cap calculator link for you. Galette saves $10 mil and Morstead only $1 mil or something like that, for instance. Edit: [link=(http://overthecap.com/calculator/new-orleans-saints/)]Cap Calculator.[/link] Morst...

re: Mickey Loomis Press Conference Updates - bonethug0108
Well if you looked at the roster most rookies weren't going to get serious playing time (barring finding a real gem). Only the first rounder was going to get serious play (minus being a bust). So in that scenario you could play it safe and take much lower ceiling players that might never crack th...

re: Mickey Loomis Press Conference Updates - bonethug0108
This is why I try not to be over reactionary with things. He could be a pro bowler next year (or the year after) but people are already saying he's a bust without giving him a chance. Or he could be a bust but we won't know for a couple of years. Graham was a project that took a while to develop ...
We've never had less than 7 wins with him as coach.  Pre-Payton we would of considered a 7 win season a success. Because quite frankly we didn't even see many of those. Alot of fans seem to be taken what he did for this organization for granted. He's given us no reason to let him go[/quote...

re: How many more seasons like this...... - bonethug0108
Well if we had canned Payton after back to back 7 and 8 win seasons we would have never won the Super Bowl the next year. We also kept Haslett through a bunch of mediocre season before Katrina did him in. So as long as we aren't completely fricking sucking and have some good/great years mixed i...

re: Is bountygate part of the problem the Saints are seeing? - bonethug0108
You do NOT need your GM to be a talent evaluator. That's what you hire your scout team to do. So if scouting is an issue then we need to upgrade the scouts. Just like when coaching is an issue we upgrade the coaches. Same with the players. Managing all of that is the GMs job. Any skills he has ou...

re: Good news for Saints and HBs in FA - bonethug0108
He is not one dimensional. He has always been able to catch but we've always had PT and also had Sproles and Cadet so he was used as our main runner. He wasn't a good pass blocker prior to this year (or we didn't give him a chance because PT was used as our pass protector) but when PT went down h...
Give me vereen. He's a beast catching passes out of the backfield. I trust him enough to carry it 150 times over a season as well. If he averages 4.5ypc, 150 carries, and catches about 70 catches and about 8 yards per he'd put up: 675 yards rushing 560 yards receiving
Sounds like...

That's it? I see a lot more. Not saying I see a lot more I like more than Ingram, but a bunch of these guys would be good in a rotation with Thomas and Robinson. It's at least enough "names" to drive market prices down for sure. Last year was a wasteland....
