When fixed, look for gas without ethanol. Ethanol isn't good for the rubber or plastic components and can cause things like the primer bulb to have a shorter life....

- O&G Operator/Upstream: $75-$90k
Lower GPAs
- O&G Service Companies: $60-$80k
- Outside the O&G industry: $55-70k
Based on what I was seeing when I was in school. Economy hasn't changed much, so probably still valid....

Pick pocketing isn't bad. I didn't wear a wallet in my back pocket because that would be asking for it. They sell these money holders that go around your neck like a sling and you can carry money in the front. I kept daily cash in front pockets and the rest in the holder under my shirt.

You can fund a Roth beyond the income limits. Google Back-door Roth Ira contributions. Up to the individual if they want to use the method, but makes sense in my situation. You basically contribute to an IRA then convert to a Roth. Congress removed income limit on conversions a couple years ago. ...

Starwood Amex (SPG): points transfer at a 1:1 ratio to many airlines, so you aren't limited to just one. Just cancelled my American Airlines card in favor of this.
I use a BoA cash rewards visa for gas. It gives 3% cash back on gas.
Also look for great deals on bonuses. Google can help with...

I've run the numbers several different ways and I plan to refinance in the next few weeks from a 30yr @ 4.375% to a 15yr (I'm 2yrs into the 30yr).
I looked at the return on investment and even when taking into account the taxes, I've decided on the 15yr refi.

I would convert the current IRA to a Roth and get that tax issue settled, then do an annual Roth by the above method. Not saying it's risk free as it is obviously a loop-hole, but I've read many, many articles and personally feel any risk is low....

my body just can't take it. I used to be able to put back a 12-pack and wake up the next day feeling great. Now, if I have more than 1 or 2 drinks, I feel like crap for the next 24hrs. So, I still drink, but what used to be a couple beers with dinner has become ~1-2 beers/week.
