I think LSU is in trouble re: Qb's
In all seriousness, when has Cam Cameron not effectively developed a QB. Sent multiple QBs to the NFL as an assistant at Michigan, Gus Frerotte went to the Pro Bowl with him as QB coach, Randle El, Brees, Rivers, Flacco, Mettenberger. So, his tra...

Randle El moved to wide receiver because he was 5-foot-9. He would have been given a shot in today's NFL. He was a heckuva college player and his development was just fine. ...

| Tiger Rant|| re: What are your feelings regarding LSU's offense. - trooploop on 1/9/15 at 1:33 pm|
I think the offense is going to be fine. I like the fact we aren't running what so many other teams are running because teams aren't built as much to defend teams that will pound you on the ground. This will be a 35-point-plus offense in 2015 and dare I say 40+ in 2016. ...

Was offensive conservatism the problem in 2013? 41 points and defense let UGA go the length of the field to win. You could argue that we weren't conservative enough against Ole Miss with the three INTs.
| Tiger Rant|| re: Gruden's comment on MNF about offensive talent at LSU - trooploop on 12/23/14 at 12:18 pm|
First of all, the 2013 offense was highly productive. No. 1 in the country in third-down conversions, sixth in passing efficiency. Elite in yards per play and points per play.
Second, the rookies were obviously extremely well prepared to succeed at the next level, which all of those guys have al...
Gruden gets offense.
Cam's offensive production at the NFL level is so much greater than Gruden's it's not even funny.
Two years ago there was an extensive study done of NFL OCs. They looked at the following 15 primarily offensive categories: Team W/L %, takeaway/giveaway rati...
barely a top 20 total offense for that year as far as NCAA rankings go.
Do you realize how little total offense has to do with actually winning games? It's well down the list. The offense was sixth in the country in passing efficiency and first in third-down conversions, which are ...
