re: Quote from Mettenberger on Cam Cameron's Style - trooploop
Cam always brings his QBs along slowly. He just does. He isn't going to ruin young QBs, which so many coaches do. It can be frustrating at times but pays off long term. ...

re: ESPN's Matich questioning whether LSU will score ANY points vs Ole Miss - trooploop
Well, if you dont think Bamas offense is better I dont want to see you use any stats in this thread then. Because they statistically kick our offenses ass
Yes, they score 1.3 more points per game and have played fewer good defenses. They definitely kick our ass. ...
Again, I'm just saying you have to consider all information, not just look at the raw stats.
But don't look at the stats in a vacuum either. Do you think every other team drives 80 yards for all of their scores?...

re: ESPN's Matich questioning whether LSU will score ANY points vs Ole Miss - trooploop
Before blaming ESPN for everything just ask yourself if LSU have done anything to earn it this year
Maybe because we're averaging 35 points per game and are 27th in the country in scoring, including 41 just last Saturday. Gosh, you'd think we were averaging 15 points per game. ...
Can you blame them?? I would bet we lead the SEC in 3 and outs.
We average 4.75 3-and-outs a game. The only other school I've checked is Alabama and they average 4.50 per game so, no, I highly doubt LSU leads the SEC in 3-and-outs. ...

re: Cam's QB development at various stops - trooploop
Those guys have obvious gifts and talents that would have gotten them to a certain level of play with any OC.
Well, that's quite a strawman. Flacco couldn't even start at Pitt. I'd say he developed him from the ground up. All of these guys were drafted higher than Brees and Fla...

re: LSU's one dimensional offense (per Dandy Don) - trooploop
We'll see, brother. I sure hope you're right. I'm just not sold on Cam right now. And I'm not in a panic, but the QB play this year has been surprisingly bad. There's no way you can say with a straight face that you expected it.
I thought the offense would be more diverse and more...

re: LSU's one dimensional offense (per Dandy Don) - trooploop
Fine. They are trends. They're somewhat notable (to the degree that they can be attributed purely to Cam, and not to experience). But they aren't eye-popping. Not trying to move the goalposts on you or anything.
Of course they can't be attributed purely to Cam. With that said, he ...

re: LSU's one dimensional offense (per Dandy Don) - trooploop
We are the second youngest offensive skill group in the country and are still scoring 35 points a game. If the passing game isn't significantly better next year than Cam deserves some criticism but he came in here last year and did a great job. He didn't forget how to coach, nor was he here when we ...

re: Top Scoring Teams Against Top 50 Scoring Defenses - LSU second most - trooploop
Shouldn't be too confusing. The schools that are listed are the only schools that are scoring more points per game than LSU so far this season. Of all of those schools, only North Carolina (5) has faced more top 50 defenses in points allowed than LSU (4) to this point in the season. Obviousl...

I wanted to take a look and see how many times Power 5 conference teams that are ranked higher than LSU in scoring have faced top 50 scoring defenses already this season. LSU is second behind North Carolina (5, with one of those a non-Power 5). This is the list... Schools who are scoring more PPG...

re: Les Miles thoughts on QB for 2015 - trooploop
I'd contend that Cam is in charge of developing QBs now. I'd also contend his track record is pretty darn good. Michigan - Griese, Collins, Harbaugh - all drafted Redskins - Frerotte made Pro Bowl with Cam as QB coach Indiana - Randle El (6th in Heisman voting; one backup drafted; 3rd strin...

re: Fast start - trooploop
At some point the complaining gets old. You can always find something to complain about and at some point I think it takes the enjoyment away. I am an Indiana fan as well as an LSU fan. Indiana is 19-81 in its last 100 Big Ten games. Believe me, it's a little easier to see fewer negatives in LSU...
