hell if we did that -- outside our stadium would look like that big grave yard in Met-- New Orleans
No doubt, the LSU program of the last 10 years is where Clemson would like to be. We haven't been there in a long time but we are heading in the right direction....
And I would like to see where they ran 100+ plays on other teams because that is rare. Link?
Off the top of my head I'd guess that we ran 100 plays vs. NCSU this year, and against Maryland and Auburn last year. Don't have a link for you, I don't know where that stat is kept, it's ...
they celebrated like fools after beating you on a last second field goal. and then their coached proclaimed they were a national championship team. im tellin i live here, this is the biggest victory for their program in 30 years. clemson people are frickin ringworms.
Probably not the...
I don't know if this has been said but there is a cemetery literally next to Clemson's stadium. Perhaps this is why it is called "Death Valley" and why they choose to create tombstones for their "significant" victories.
Not related, as far as I know....
It is a lot easier to run 100+ plays on offense then defend against 100+ plays. I am not saying LSU did not try. I am saying Clemson was way more pumped and invested a lot more into that game then LSU. If you read my previous posts I also said it was a big win and Clemson should be proud. If ...
I think they are ripping off FSU's Sod Cemetery http://floridastate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=99984 LSU is on that one too....EVERYONE is on that one
Looks like ours is older and has a stricter entrance requirement....

Can't help but laugh at the idea that tombstones are too expensive, like major college football programs are too poor to spend money on some gimmicky decorations... Both Clemson and LSU (I assume) have spent millions on indoor practice facilities that are probably used for official practices a hand...
Were you surprised the RB that was lighting you up failed to get a carry in the 4th quarter?
Yep but it's not like he had that many opportunities, either. What did y'all run, 6 plays?...

I think LSU coaches saw on film how vulnerable we were to passing attacks. However, it seemed pretty boneheaded from my vantage point for y'all to stick with it when it was clearly not working. Your QB had no time, and when he did, he was off-target. I do think we played the run pretty tough cons...
Correct because they played a 100+ plays because our offense sucks. Anybody that has to play that much will wear out and have to dig deep. I am talking on an emotional stand point. They were not nearly as pumped as the Bama, USCe, or A&M game. That is not a clemson thing it is a post bama gam...

I don't know anything about LSU in 1996 but that was a dark, dark era for Clemson football. The 90s were basically a lost decade in the wake of the firing of Danny Ford. In the '58 Sugar Bowl, though, we were a pretty good program....
This. LSU was not fired up for that game. Go watch the post game too. Yall celebrated like it was the NC. If LSU would have won they would not have celebrated that much. Nor would they have put a tomb stone!
I have watched the game. I saw player after player for LSU hit the ...
I am not sure why everyone is freakin' out! I think it is pretty cool and better yet a good complement to our program. Clemson is a top 25 program and they treated that game like a national championship and celebrated like they won one. That shows that we are elite and at the top. Everyone wa...

I believe there are 22 away-from-home wins over ranked teams in the graveyard. (Might be short by a couple.) That dates back to 1948 when the tradition began, and does not include bowl/neutral site wins prior to the 2003 Peach Bowl. (Some people think tombstones for neutral site games is lame--I ...
Kinda hard for a QB to develop when all they are doing is handing off.
That is what y'all do though. Trust me when I tell you that other fans envy it. Even with players like Boyd, Hopkins, Watkins, etc., Clemson fans bitch non-stop about not being able to run power/iso/etc. like ...
The head scratcher for me (and I was at the game) is HOW did LSU have this game close? We should have lost by 10+ with those stats and yet should have won.
Weird game. The fumbles sure didn't help our cause....
I was shocked at how LSU couldn't get Clemson off the field. Best team won Monday night.
I was too, but if you saw our team at all before that game you would be more shocked at our pass rush producing and the D slowing down the running game (save for a couple of big plays, which ...

Great game - ClemsonFan
I had a great time with LSU fans in Atlanta. Game was an all-time classic. I know it was "just" the Peach Bowl (I will never call it the CFA Bowl), but LSU is one of the programs I and other Clemson fans really admire so it was huge to us to go toe to toe and come out on top. Good luck next yea...
