You already knew this was gonna be a bad officiating the way it started, every other play was a penalty.
When it comes down to last minute drives, you're the away team, you're not getting any favorable calls to end the game. No and if or buts about it.
Could we have sealed the game? Yes, if Co...

Know what that means by some late passes, it means no separation from our WRs
Funny that people said that, "He's taking too long to release the ball", but his release is faster than the last few seasons.
Look @ PFF for game #6, last page....
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Whats your confidence in winning if Brees takes the sack instead of the INT? - htran90 on 10/20/14 at 7:52 pm|
Them having to go 30-40 yards is easier than them having to go 70-80 yards.
I'll take 70-80 yards > 30-40 yards any day of the week, doesn't matter what defense I have....

Do you have his pass protection time from 2006-2010?
His sack numbers were REALLY low most of those years and I was curious how the release time+time to sack are:
18 in 2006
16 in 2007
13 in 2008
20 in 2009
25 in 2010
24 in 2011
26 in 2012
37 in 2013...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Is Drew worth 20+ million???? - htran90 on 10/20/14 at 5:38 pm|
Better question is, is the interior OL worth 16.32mil?
Jahri Evans: 8.1mil
Ben Grubbs: 7.2mil
Jon Goodwin: 1.02mil
Answer is: No....
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Is Drew worth 20+ million???? - htran90 on 10/20/14 at 5:21 pm|
Okay, 20mil/yr salary right?
Would you rather:
Aaron Rodgers: 22.0mil - yes (Rodgers is an elite QB and younger than Brees. You take him > Brees all the time. He has no line, but produces big numbers in past years).
Matt Ryan: 20.75mil - no (younger, elite potential, but no line means he's us...

Officiating was horrible, ruined the flow to the game, and constantly called tick-tack penalties for both teams all game. When it came down to the last drive, we saw no flag at all for the same thing they called for 55+ minutes.
Terry McAulay's groups this year:
G1: 21 penalties (10 home, ...

I watched it a few times already because I didn't want to blame white with bias, considering how bad he was all game. It looked zone and White wasn't there....
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Can we turn this thing around? - htran90 on 10/20/14 at 1:56 pm|
Their OL is a mess, they can barely generate a pass rush (sounds like us right?).
Their offense is no run game outside of Cam and only receivers: Olsen and Benjamin.
They are exactly like us.
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: PFF Stats of Game #6 - htran90 on 10/20/14 at 1:53 pm|
You can also say 1 bad quarter doesn't offset 3 great quarters of play.
Take it with a grain of salt, we know who were the culprits yesterday and this shows if you were right/wrong. Most of the time, they agree what you see and the score.
Pass protection was good enough for the first 3 quarter...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Most disappointing players this year - htran90 on 10/20/14 at 1:37 pm|
The players that made the most noise are the biggest culprits. I didn't expect PRob to be a shutdown corner, so he's not part of my list. What is on my list is what we all were fed/heard/saw from last year going into this year.
pass protection - after all the GREAT talk ending last year...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Corey White thrown at stats yesterday - htran90 on 10/20/14 at 1:26 pm|
You can't get worse than a perfect passer rating, so why not try something different.
SJB played his first snaps this year as well.
That endzone TD to Fuller looked like zone, SJB started with him and drifted to the outside where he was supposed to be, but White didn't get to the middle....

I won't let you take the blame alone. It is also my fault.
When my family and friends eat something from popeyes, we don't get scored on, but we score on people.
During Tate's TD, none of us were eating it. During Brees' INT, none of us were eating it.
We ate it during the first half, but w...

Agreed with everyone saying we're in a BAD division. Any other year, we would be screwed.
Think of it this way, we still have 4 division games (2 vs. carolina, 1 vs. atlanta, 1 vs. tampa bay)
we are 2-4, carolina is 3-3-1, atlanta is 2-5 (with a home game in london this week), and tampa bay is...

3 heartbreakers this year, but this one stung the least.
It just feels like this year is the simple year of 99% of the game goes right, that 1% that goes wrong just happens to be at the last moment.
As much as we could be 5-1, we could also be 1-5 because we keep shooting ourselves in the foot...
