| Tiger Rant|| re: Let this BURN IN! - BayouCowboy on 11/11/13 at 8:46 am|
Miles and Saban have two different coaching styles as HCs. I know,a real revelation. Miles gets his players to play with great emotion which is good when that emotion can translate into players performing above their abilities. Saban gets his players to play out of sound technique.

If I'm given a big contract and fame and fortune of being an NFL player and the owner says I can no longer drink beer because it's a team rule, I'm not drinking beer.
Doesn't matter if it's legal or harmless. I can choose not to sign and go work at Denny's. It's a choice....

Matthieu was a 20 year old kid who came from some very bad circumstances. No excuse for screwing up, but certainly understandable. As an LSU fan it's infuriating that he let the Tiger Nation down, but I do believe in redemption and wish him the best.
Regeardless of how he performs though, I don'...
| Tiger Rant|| re: How exactly are we supposed to be worse next year? - BayouCowboy on 2/21/13 at 9:20 am|
There really is no reason to believe this won't be a very good team. Cam will make Mett better. How much we will see. He will also infuse more life into the playcalling, but don't expect us to go west coast or run and gun. It will still be power running pro style football. All of our WRs are re...
| Tiger Rant|| re: Does anyone think Jamarcus can come back to the NFL? - BayouCowboy on 2/14/13 at 9:21 am|
It's just mind boggling that some of these kids with so much natural talent can just let it go to waste. For his sake I hope he makes it back, but at 308 Lbs I think losing the weight would be an indicator that he's truly serious about coming back. ...
| Tiger Rant|| re: J Russell Wearing LSU SS Now ? - BayouCowboy on 2/12/13 at 9:16 am|
I wouldn't consider JR serious about an NFL comeback until he lost 50-60 Lbs. He essentially stole from the NFL when he signed that big contract and never put out the effort to stay in shape or learn the playbook and put the time in. I hope he does improve and get another chance. I just hope he's...

| Tiger Rant|| re: Is Cam Cameron a done deal? - BayouCowboy on 2/5/13 at 8:29 am|
I think it's a good hire. My only concern is that if there really was an issue with getting plays in quick enough, Mett was already having issues reading defenses and making quick decisions. Add a new OC that may not get plays in quickly and it will definitely be an adjustment process.

It makes sense that he may have flipped if he has some relationship with a UT coach, but to say he flipped because he didn't want to be upstaged if we sign RN is silly. We have 2 DE spots up for grabs. He could be part of the next great tandem after Mingo/Monty.
Either way, the drama ends in ...

I really think Hill may be the best RB to come through LSU in a long time. He showed significant improvement over the season. He eliminated the hop at the end of his runs. He has good vision, power and quickness. I'd like to see him get more use in the passing game and get him on the edge more. ...

I think Mett will be much improved, but we do have to see how we do replacing PJ and Josh on the OL and losing Faulk to the draft was dissapointing. Blue and Hill together are going to make a great combo with speed and power. I think from the O standpoint it will be how fast the line gels that det...

I'd hate for Faulk to go. I'm not sure his draft stock is 1st round grade after sitting out most of the year as an injury. One more solid season could make him a top 10-15 pick. I know he risks injury if he stays, but if he's not 100% at the combine he could seriously drop as well.

The 2nd and 2 pass didn't lose the game. 8 3 and outs lost the game. An inability to gain more than 210 yards on a team that allows an average of 400+ lost the game.
We can't rely on defense, turnovers and special teams to carry the team. It may work against lesser opponents, but eventually ...
