GeeOH
I'll revive an old yard thread, because someone asked me a question  Bermuda is an extremely nice-looking, durable turf.....just requires a lot of upkeep to be that way. Also needs tons of sunlight. For a home lawn, hard to beat St. Aug or centipede. ...

MSM @ 1oz per acre. Will need to re-spray every 4-6 weeks. Catch it early next spring w Trimec Dusty- most spray booms are equipped with tips that spray ~25 gal/acre, so it's not hard to calculate large quantities...

re: How do I get rid of crabgrass in my lawn? - bootlegger
2,4-D is selective to broadleaves. Bermuda has about the narrowest leaf of all the grasses, therefore is extremely resistant. Early spring my Bermuda gets a heavy dose of Trimec, and it doesn't even affect the color of the grass. ...

re: How do I get rid of Bahiagrass? - bootlegger
Shouldn't see much chlorosis of your grass if you use the MSM according to the label, and your lawn is one of the tolerant turf grasses listed on the label. On my Bermuda fields, I use at 1oz per acre. Centipede, .5 oz per acre. MSM is a solid herbicide, so you'll need a postal scale or small kitch...

re: Best weed killer to spray in ditches that hold water? - bootlegger
3oz Roundup, 2oz of 2,4-D per gallon. Roundup is absorbed through foliage and prevents chlorophyll production. Has no residual. Anything residual will probably not be "listed" for use in ditches due to leaching. ...

re: OB help gone wrong!! my grass is too active - bootlegger
If you've got the weeds under control and are no longer spraying heavily, switch to a slow-release fertilizer. There are growth retardants on the market. I use Solace (Trinexapac-ethyl), a product from Regal Chemical Co. Quite pricey, but I can go from mowing every other day down to once every 7-10 ...
