Okay, taking your word for it, multiply that by a few years and the odds are way better....

re: great read on the sixers & tanking - PrimeTime Money
Intentionally losing or "tanking" is fraudulent. No less so than point shaving.
No it isn't. The players aren't tanking. They are giving it their all on the court. They are not intentionally losing games. The players they have just aren't good enough to win more games. Their #1 d...

Exactly. They might not find a Davis or Durant... but they can find a LaMarcus Aldridge caliber player or Damian Lillard. They will land a solid player to build around. We haven't even seen Embiid play yet....

This is only the second year of tanking. It hasn't even been 2 years. They've only had ONE draft. People act like this has been going on for several years....

re: great read on the sixers & tanking - PrimeTime Money
The top 10-15 players in the draft are much more likely to pan out to be good players compared to the rest of the draft. Of the top 15, maybe 7 or 8 pan out to be good to great NBA players. That is a much higher chance than drafting later. So it is a crap shoot in terms of which picks pan out ...

re: great read on the sixers & tanking - PrimeTime Money
Just because some teams don't tank doesn't mean tanking doesn't work. It's much more difficult to build a team while being mediocre. And the Rockets were going to tank. They stumbled upon James Harden days before the first game of the season and the team ended up being pretty good. But the...

re: great read on the sixers & tanking - PrimeTime Money
There is always going to be a worst team in the league who is terrible and fans of other teams don't care to see play. Changing the rules like you suggest isn't going to change anything....

re: Why don't we play Zone defense? - PrimeTime Money
It's only 3 seconds if he isn't within arms-length of an offensive player. If he is within arms length, he can stay in the paint as long as he wants. A center can pretty much stay right around the basket....

re: great read on the sixers & tanking - PrimeTime Money
Certain executives can crunch the numbers and figure out whether they think it's bad for business. But if we're talking strictly about building a basketball team, the Sixers are putting themselves in great position to build a strong roster for the future....

re: great read on the sixers & tanking - PrimeTime Money
That is a really stupid article. The Cavs drafted LeBron because they sucked and got the 1st pick and he got them to the Finals. Seattle drafted Durant because they sucked enough to get the 2nd pick and he got them to the Finals. The Wolves got Wiggins because they had Kevin Love as a trade ch...

Zone defense is not illegal. And Rick Carlisle is known to use a zone defense at times. And it is effective in limited use to give the opponent a different look....

re: Could MJ suit up today and get 20? **Updated OP** - PrimeTime Money
I took it as could he suit up as old as he is today and get 20. I didn't take it as he meant literally take off his suit and put on some shorts and go out and play an NBA game. If the OP says that's what he meant then I'm wrong. ...

re: Andre Johnson requests to be traded or cut, Texans are obliging this time. - PrimeTime Money
Given the timing of my upbringing there were not Oilers or Texans in Houston, and all my family is from Louisiana and are Saints fans so that was that. Hence the still fandom to the Astros and Rockets (no such thing as NO Pelicans growing up).
We have the exact same fandom for the exa...
Well, that's lame (and a bit indecipherable).
I'm the same way. I'm from New Orleans and grew up with the Saints so they are my team, but after living in Houston for years I also want the Texans to do well. I moved to Houston when Houston had no NFL team, and I lived in New Orle...

Robert Parish scored 12 points in 21 minutes in a game in 1997 at like 44 years old. He also scored 8 points in 12 minutes 7 points in 6 minutes 8 points in 15 minutes etc. If given enough time on the court, he could have put up some 20 point games. Michael Jordan, the g...
