re: How much is your dream job worth to you? - LSUtigerME
My dream job is no job. I work to live, not the other way around.
The way OP is worded, this. Time off is important, but the money to enjoy that time is also required. I could definitely take a paycut to have more free time or to do things I enjoy. But I'm not sure that reduced...

re: I've fallen on hard times, credit score has plummeted - LSUtigerME
Don't be late/miss a payment. Work with your creditors to get a payment plan or other ways to work out the debt. School loans are usually very flexible with this. Medical bills can often also be worked out on a payment plan. What has actually made the score tank? Did you miss a payment or som...

I second the cruise. It's cheap, has a beach, and is a lot of fun on the boat. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is a nice getaway, but not really close to a beach. Disney World for 2 can prob be done for $3500....

What about semis that flash their hazards when there is stopped traffic? It's the same in rain. I'll flash, and believe it's perfectly safe, when traffic is moving along, and the bottom falls out causing low visibility and a rapid deceleration. This helps drivers behind me recognize that I have s...

re: Creating a word document with a dialog box asking for a few key pieces of info - LSUtigerME
I can give you guys the actual Macro code that I used for one I did. It's not really complex at all, just a few lines of code. You'll have to set up your document with the proper fields (ie. make it into a "form"), but once that is done it will automatically update when you change that field, man...

re: Creating a word document with a dialog box asking for a few key pieces of info - LSUtigerME
There's a few ways to do it, both involving Macros. You could use an InputBox to ask user for each string, and use that to update a Field/Bookmark. Or you could use an Input Form and have them enter all the information at one time in a form and have that update the fields/bookmarks....

Mac or Windows? Handbrake works great. If on Windows, it requires either a decrypter, or the libdvdcss.dll file. For some reason on mine, the file only works on an older version of HB. Makemkv is also an excellent ripper for lossless conversions or Bluray. I've tended to move toward Makemkv an...

If you are honestly concerned about the government changing rules in the future (I'm not as concerned as most seem), contribute all to the traditional. Is your salary/tax bracket higher today than you expect it to be during retirement? If YES, go Traditional 401k. If NO, go Roth. More than likely, at age 22, you should go Roth 401k. You may also have a Roth IRA, and want to tax diversify. If you know what the differences are, this should ...
