re: Baton Rouge bar tier thread (by area/neighborhood) - Ric Flair
It's basically a big parking lot with 4 bars and a circle K surrounding it. Most major colleges have a strip with bars/restaurants with entrances on the streets with parking elsewhere (or close enough to walk from campus). Like a miniature version of Bourbon street or 6th street. ...

re: Good ways to acknowledge very good employees - Ric Flair
Besides the obvious (raise/bonus). A hand written note on a card telling them how much you appreciate them (and specifying an example--in dealing with x issue, you went above and beyond and did y). Maybe put a small gift card for dinner or movies in with the note. ...

re: Baton Rouge bar tier thread (by area/neighborhood) - Ric Flair
It's really quite sad that there isn't a strip close to campus with bars lining the street in BR. I guess Chimes street back in the day was the closest thing, but most of the bars there have closed from what I'm hearing (it catered more to the punk/alternative/hippy crowd back in the day). ...

re: Mom of the year Candidate - sorry for partying? - Ric Flair
When I was in HS, the cool mom would let us drink a few beers at their house while sleeping over (and she would ensure no one was driving). Times have changed. ...

Kale Breaux (LHP) - Ric Flair
Looking at info available online, he originally commited to LSU but flipped to Miss. State. Any reason? MLB draftee or solid college starter? Looks like he dominates with good stuff and not overpowering. ...

re: Favorite Depressing Drinking Songs? - Ric Flair
The way I am--Merle. Possibly the greatest drinking song ever. Honorable mention to Proud Souls by Jason Boland and anything by Gary Stewart. ...

re: Ovarian cancer treatment - Ric Flair
The main question is if it is localized, or has already metastasized/seeded elsewhere (even locally like the peritoneum). Unfortunately I've know two people with ovarian cancer and the outcomes were not good, but both had metasisis at the time of diagnosis. Sending prayers your way. ...

re: 3-D Lashes, Jamberry & Other Ways to Lose Facebook Friends - Ric Flair
Stella and dot seems to be the least offensive, because they just sell my wife costume jewelry, and don't try to sell her the business opportunity for her to sell costume jewelry. ...

re: Shreveport Mega Churches - Ric Flair
I have no problems with large churches with elected deacon oversight (members of the church, not a "board of overseers" consisting of other megachurch pastors), as long as the pastor's compensation is public knowledge. ...

re: Charlotte Peoples...Need advice & recommendations - Ric Flair
How is Huntersville? I live in Ballantyne, and although it's a great place to raise a family, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone single (unless you are wanting to go MILF hunting). Belmont is actually not bad if you have a family (small town usa type downtown with restaurants/bars, close to the air...

re: Charlotte Peoples...Need advice & recommendations - Ric Flair
The Camden apartments on Morehead would put you right at the intersection of Southend/Dilworth/Uptown. Five minutes from CMC main and 15 minutes from the airport. Walking distance to the panthers stadium and the YMCA. Basically anything from Park Ave to Providence road, north of fairview, up to...

re: Charlotte Peoples...Need advice & recommendations - Ric Flair
Be careful regarding the places marketing themselves as Southend. South blvd near as north of east blvd is awesome. The areas further south on south blvd near remount road are still gentrifying. Housing projects near I-77 and Remount road. I drive through there all the time and never had any fear (...

They call their downtown "uptown". ie, If you're going to the place with the tall buildings, you are going uptown. There is no downtown (not like NOLA with a separate uptown/downtown). I don't get it either. ...

re: Heading down to Asheville, NC in May. Any trip suggestions? - Ric Flair
I would stay at the Aloft hotel. Tons of breweries around. Go to the basement of the Wicked Weed brewery, where they serve their more exotic beer offerings. Go see a show at the Orange Peel. Sierra Nevada just built a new brewery outside of town near the airport, haven't been yet but I've seen pictu...

re: Coastal Carolina goes with teal turf - Ric Flair
It's a fascinating college football program, but not because of the turf. Their old head coach was very country and gave great odd speeches (about playing like dogs), while their newer head coach was the CEO of TD Ameritrade in the past. ...
