New home construction financing - islandtiger
I have purchased several homes and undeveloped land over the years, but we are now getting ready to start construction on a new home and I have no experience with new home financing. We have purchased the land, and although we put 25% down, with the drop in realestate values, we have little equity....

All the incredulous responses are perfect examples of just how far off the tracks this wdding business has gotten. We got lots of pictures of kids, but those were some of the best! We had about 100 guests, catered food, served buffet style (lots of compliments) with unlimited self-serve beer, sangria and softdrinks (outdoor wedding) food and drinks a little over $3,000. This was two years ago. Focus on the ce...

Nope. We bought out the fresh flowere at Whole Foods, the women/girls had a great time making the arrangements and we have a bunch of professional-caliber photographers in the family. Fun hint: put a bunch of disposable cameras on each table and ask the guests to take random, candid photos...those...

I have 5 daughters and only one married thus far. Early on, we set a limit of $5,000 each. The first wedding was one of the nicest I have attended and they even pocketed some cash when it was over. We are far from poor and can afford much more than $5,000 each, but the money spent on wddings these...

Impressive creature and glad the guy thought twice about having it for dinner. I side with the posters suggesting that a certain amount of respect for long-lived creatures is a core value of true sportsmen. re: 10 Reasons to Quit Your Job - islandtiger
This, exactly. My wife and I are building a new home in a little slice of paradise and once it is finished, we start our "staged retirement." We will scale back to part-time in our late 50's and will hit full retirement by early 60's. We will see a reduced standard of living, but vastly increased...

Our builder/designer has received a number of national Dept.of Energy awards for his construction so we trust his judgement. Got it, the rating is production per hour at max generating capacity. Thanks. We recently increased the design from 10kw to 15kw since the cost of panels have decreased over the past year. So, if you found yourself in posession of the video, what would you do? You may not like the idea of single women (or men) having/raising children, but Murphy Brown is probably not the best example to use. The fictional character chose single life over a bad marriage, wanted a child and had the financial means to ensure the child was well cared for...far better than ma...
