re: Is an LSU home game really that bad of an experience for an away team fan? - LSUfan20005
Cool Story: I interviewed a guy for an open sales role a few months ago, and it came up that I was an LSU fan. He admitted that he's a lifelong Razorback, and attends all away games. Apparently, his experiences at LSU were so bad for he and his wife that they would wear LSU attire until at thei...

re: Vegetarian diet... Where do your calories come from? - LSUfan20005
Wouldn't argue that at all. I eat ungodly amounts of veggies, but I replaced much of the carbs in my diet with them. Meat consumption stayed the same. I try not to be someone who pushes one way of dieting over another, and I generally am OK with vegetarians. But, it seems like every vegetari...
Carbs are the primary source of energy for everything

Unlike skeletal muscle, heart muscle functions almost exclusively aerobically, as evidenced by the density of mitochondria in heart muscle. Moreover, the heart has virtually no glycogen reserves. Fatty acids are the heart...
Pile the fat and cholesterol on top of that and we become obese and leads to metabolic syndrome
This HAS to die. The data is out there, and even the FDA is now agreeing that fat is not a nutrient of concern. You need fat, particularly saturated fat. Fat is the primary source o...

Despite strong urges, I won't critic a meatless diet in here out of respect for the thread. But I do have a question on legumes: What do you guys think about the data on the "anti-nutrients" present in legumes (which are often a vegetarian staple). Basically, it's the concept that phytic ac...

Indeed, learning the dynamics of your face is a big part. I shave 4 difference directions depending on where I'm shaving in order to go with or across the grain. I never shave against the grain...

re: Someone build me a perfect safety razor starter kit - LSUfan20005
Good to see Feather blades recommended here, nothing else compares. Let me be clear, the only purpose of soap/cream is to bind water to your face. Of all the things to worry about, cream is the least important. Want a perfect safety razor shave? Let conditioner sit on your face for the durat...

re: Pretty Sure I Saw a Mt. Lion Today, bad pic page 2 - LSUfan20005
Fwiw, I have been a mountain lion skeptic, the whole idea of them coming down from the Dakotas just seemed so unlikely. I kept telling myself that it wasn't a cat, until it crossed the road. It had a long tail, that it raised and "flicked" like a whip. It looked at me and, while it was a ways awa...

What I'm saying is the Ozark ones I've seen aren't that big. The ones out west are enormous in comparison. Also, recent sightings in the same area... [link=(http://www.ozarksfirst.com/news/bella-vista-residents-report-mountain-lion-sightin)]Sightings[/link]...

Only every mt. Lion I've seen or heard about in the Ozarks is smaller than the iconic images from the American west. I've seen some in captivity that were captured, and they are not what I'd consider formidable vs an adult male human....

Hard to see, phone from 75yds sucks. Top right section, head would touch just above my waist. This is a steep uphill, a bit steeper than a LA levee road. ...

Location: NW Arky I'll preface this by stating that I'm not one to make stuff like this up, and my modest post count should attest to my lack of a desire to troll. I'm working from home waiting for my wife to deliver our next child any day, and I decided I'd go for a run around 2pm. There'...

re: McMillan possible backup? - LSUfan20005
There were practice reports on Nola.com that McMiilan has better mechanics than AJ or Harris had upon arrival. If he doesn't have to focus on changing bad habits, he's already ahead of the game. I love that it feels like we are actually building depth! If Harris does what we all expect, we ma...
