Jennings threw a couple touch passes and bomb on a great play.
We have seen accuracy, touch, a good deep ball, and poise.
We haven't even seen him try to make tight window throws...maybe we wait a wee bit longer before we decide what he is?...

The point is to WIN....not to put up video game numbers.
In this game is was supremely obvious that we could run the ball on them and that they could not move the ball consistently on us.

| Tiger Rant|| re: Draft departures from this team - tigersruledude on 10/9/13 at 12:19 am|
I think Hill, Landry, and Beckham are gone and should. All are NFL types who will get drafted in the first 4 rounds without doubt (obviously I think they go early in that)
The only other one who should even consider it is Collins. However...because he will have very little film at tackle (compa...

No doubt we lose some major offensive skill talent this year

We even have an outside shot at DHaquille.

Who knows? He's thrown one pass!
Could he be...sure. If he is the starter in two years he will have had plenty of years in the program to get ready and he is physically similar to the QB he is replacing. If Mett is here for next season then Rivers could step in and do the same things.

Good grief he doesn't have to be Andrew Luck. He just has to be competent. We went undefeated in the SEC last year with NOTHING at QB.
If he is just a guy who can be accurate and make you pay over the top if you load the box to stop our run game we are damn near in stoppable.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

| Tiger Rant|| re: McNeese State Coach Says He Met With Tyrann Mathieu - tigersruledude on 8/12/12 at 9:19 pm|
Jenkins was a very fast cover corner.
Tyrann is a extremely talented player but on who will walk into the combine and measure 5'9 and weigh not nearly enough. He will likely not test super fast. He will have no natural pro position and now he has proven to be a major off the field risk.

The OP is correct but not because TM7 was not the fantastic player we all know he was.
He is correct because Simons skills as an experienced cover corner are harder to replace.
