I have that gun in a 16, sans the choke. That is one fricked up safety on the trigger guard.
I'm thinking $500.

I've never used one before. Prices range from $25 to $80 in the CDT catalog. I want a decent one to put on my AR10. Why do some have springs?
Any recommendations appreciated.

It takes practice to control the heat. Chicken comes out great at 250 degrees.
Get a good fire going on one side of the fire grate, put your plate setter and grill in, and close the top. Time to adjust the vents. Close the top vent about half way, close the bottom vent about 3/4 way. You need...

I've use Royal Oak, BGE, and a few of the off brands and I really don't see much of a difference. I like big chunks but you need some medium and small chunks too to have a good fire. Pure crap shoot. We have a light in the water at Pirates Cove, and see lots of small trout at night. Sometimes we will fish it when we see the trout popping, but it's almost always small ones. Get you a Vudu shrimp under a cork, a beer, and a chair, and give it a try!
Beats watching TV....
