This has always been my policy as well, but thinking of making an exception for the NRA.
I guess there's nothing to be gained from burgling a car with a rainbow decal on the back glass....

 | NRA Stickers...to put on the vehicles or not - CoastieGM on 5/19/13 at 8:03 am So the wife had a good question for me. Would putting our NRA Life Member stickers on vehicles (or the front window of our home) actually make us a target for theft? I want to fly the flag for political purposes, but frankly I hadn't thought about this aspect.
What's the OBs thoughts?...

 | re: Why get a cc permit? - CoastieGM on 5/19/13 at 7:48 am I have to admit that I've been torn about the "being on a list" issue for years, which is why I've never gotten a CCL. CCL was rendered less important to me when car-carry was legalized in TX.
When I'm in Alaska, it's legal to CC without any license, so that's what I do. But when I'm in TX, it no...

The bridge I'm talking about was further north from you.
Believe it or not, I rode a navy PBR up that far and that wood piling bridge I'm talking about was the end of the road for us.
You're making me want to get a yak. Love your thread!...

 | Is the M1-Toro is the way to go? - CoastieGM on 5/17/13 at 12:19 pm What's the OB's opinion of the M1-Toro?
The way that the 300 BLK is a hybrid of the .308 and .223 rounds, the M1 Toro is an amalgamation of the M1 Carbine and 9mm luger rounds.
Just saw it for the first time today. The owner says it's a really sweet carbine round. This is a new one on me.

 | re: Advice on educating a teenager about firearm in house - CoastieGM on 5/17/13 at 12:44 am Solid advice above.
Definitely have him take several courses from other people. A teen will take another adult more seriously than his own parents sometimes.
Heck, it wouldn't hurt you to take the courses with him. (you'll know what was covered and can discuss it with him)....
