re: Cooking with Arse: Bananas, ham and holland days - Darla Hood
You are a brave man to try that recipe. All of the gelatin mold pics look gross, but it doesn't stop me from loving me some shrimp mold, which probably looks just as disgusting to people who haven't grown up around here. ETA: [IMG]http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu213/SmrtAss_bucke...

re: What Were the F&D Board's All-time Most Controversial Ideas? - Darla Hood
wtf. why wouldn't you?
In my experience the casing used to be tougher and NOBODY ate it, you used the bite and pull method. Casing today seems to be more easily eaten, but I stick to my old ways. Plus, grilling boudin and getting a crispy skin on it wasn't a thing back when I was a...

re: First time at Festival International - Darla Hood
Bon Creole from New Iberia usually has a food booth. Awesome poboys. Actually, there is plenty of awesome street food throughout the festival. Nearby restaurants and bars are usually open if you need a respite from the heat (as long as you're there to buy). Do you have a bag chair? It's always handy...
