re: New Study Sheds Light on What Deer See - Anton7
People also tell me you can't kill a deer smoking a cig
I'm sure there are people that will tell you that they don't de-scent, then drive their 4 wheeler up to their stand, then eat, drink and smoke in their stand all while they are dressed in denim and sneakers. I wouldn't. ...
a 50 acre tract of hardwoods which is not normally hunted between two crop fields
this could be where they bed (jackpot if you're careful).... If it isn't and there isn't food left for them to eat it it will be more of a challenge. Your best chance will always be during the rut....

If you can reach back and slip your your hand into your waders, you should be good. I don't know how high the waders come up. Guides typically use 45-70's for bear guns. Eta I'm jealous...

re: .243 for deer? - Anton7
I don't doubt that. There are some good, well managed leases that give hunters plenty of opportunities to harvest deer each season. For the rest that typically get precious few opportunities at a decent buck, or any buck at all some seasons, you want to choose a caliber that gives you the be...

re: camper experience requeated. towing recommendations. - Anton7
Buy a good book on the basics of campers and RVs. Take your time and do some research. You also need to consider the weight of the water and all the crap you will load into the camper and the truck itself. You have to know the truck's gross vehicle weight rating. Don't forget to add you and your p...

The more I think about this, the more I like your idea. Collapse it when your on the move and maybe wrap a strap around it to keep the material from catching too much wind. Pop it open when you need some shade. Looked at the tucci but seems to be more rigging and crap than what you need because...
