Wiki showed rough coordinates and I looked over a topo map from there till I saw something that looked like the sketch. I also knew the river changed its course considerably in that area. ...

Found it on a map.. River changed its course and it's sitting right at higher elevation where bottom land begins. . It's at the intsection of 555 and Anna's bottom rd. 3 roads drive slap across the site . :banghead: what a shame. Gonna do a drive by anyway next time I'm around there. ...

Grew up on the trace on the south end. Trace ain't dull, Jack. My favorite parts are Natchez to Port Gibson in the far south end and Jackson falls, TN to Nashville on the far north end. Lived in Nashville too.

Yes from the area. Spent a lot of time all over the trace growing up. Clear springs, homochitto, indian village, emerald mound, vburg battle fields etc also.
