Was feeling a big on the old side, but still made a good po-boy. When did it close?

 | re: Ruffino's on the River Grand opening tomorrow in Lafayette - CourseyCorridor on 5/22/13 at 10:10 am Why do you keep doing the "BR>" bit? It's silly.
The point is expectations. Ruffinos can stand out in the BR scene because of what it lacks as a city. To me, it's a tougher crown an hour east or west on I-10.

It's out of the way to most other things people do in BR. I know in my experience, we've passed on it based on that before.

 | re: Ruffino's on the River Grand opening tomorrow in Lafayette - CourseyCorridor on 5/22/13 at 1:16 am Italian at Ruffino's is average at best at the price point. Well behind Gino's and Nino's in the BR market, IMO. The Carrabba's comparison (may have butchered that spelling) really isn't that far off.
Steaks and specialty dishes are what they do best. Their fish specials are usually good. They re...

 | re: Ruffino's on the River Grand opening tomorrow in Lafayette - CourseyCorridor on 5/22/13 at 1:10 am I'll add that Ruffino's in BR is also somewhat hard to get to.
Not that it's tucked away, but if you live in the Garden District, going out to that Highland Road exit's a bit of a haul.
Of course, the Garden District strikes me as more of a Juban's and Stroube's crowd. Ruffino's seems more lik...

I don't think Ruffino's is moving into a class of dining that is grossly underserved in Lafayette.
I think the food...
