Saw one at our deer camp in TX. Neighbors wife was bitten by one. They rushed her to the hospital in Seguin and she was able to get anti-venom. When they gave her the anti-venom she had a heart attack. She eventually recovered at a hospital in San Antonio. Neighbor said the total medical bill ...

re: Why is lamb so hard to find in the US? - Nawlens Gator
I've bought lamb from the Sam's clubs in Kenner and Covington but I couldn't find it at the clubs in Baton Rouge or Houston. I'm not sure they all carry it. Sam's lamb from New Zealand is great. ...

re: Backyard Birdwatchers - Nawlens Gator
My favorite part is that I have finally foiled the squirrels
I hooked up an electric fence transformer to thick copper wires running up the bird feeder pole (from about halfway up) about 15 yrs ago. New uneducated squirrels and coons may try to go up once, but never twice. Too ...

re: Suggestions on Where to Buy a Comfortable Leather Sofa? - Nawlens Gator
Hancock and Moore make hands down the most comfortable leather furniture (and best made). I looked at many brands but when I sat on their furniture the difference was obvious. They're pricey but you get what you pay for. I've had my living room set (sofa, 2 chairs, 2 ottomans) for over 10 yrs an...

re: How common is this duck? - Nawlens Gator
I use to have a lot of woodies under my deer feeder and in my wood duck houses. The whistling ducks have run them off and taken over. Saw 3 of them walking around and whistling near the bank so I started whistling (short high pitch). They started walking toward me to within 10 yards. Wish I ha...
