This thread got me to thinking big time about reliving some of my mistakes. Another piece of advice: Always keep a spare ignition key for your boat motor, attach something that will float to your boat ignition key, and always keep spare fuses under the motor cover for your outboard motor. Not that...

I do feed the fish regularly. The bass will follow me around the pond waiting to be fed even when I'm down there mowing or weedeating. I don't feed when cold weather gets here, though. They just quit eating the feed. Would these coppernose bluegill still need to be fed regularly even during the w...

My pit was gentle as a lamb until you messed with the kids or family. He even got into a fight with my bull over a watermelon. The pit won, btw. I had to put him down when he was 12. Arthritis was so bad, he could hardly move without being in so much pain. And for a pit to whine from pain is say...
| Outdoor Board|| Do yall recommend stocking coppernose bluegill? - BFIV on 5/21/13 at 7:46 pm|
The fish truck from Arkansas will be in my area Thursday morning and I need to get a couple of new sterile grass carp for the grandkids' pond. After reading a post last week that had a picture of a big coppernose bluegill, I am considering stocking about 100 of them in their pond. I've already got...
Steel wool away on new ones.
Yep, I agree it's okay to do this, but only on a brand new one that hasn't been used. OTOH, the rough surface of a brand new skillet helps to retain the grease seasoning a little better. You've got more surface area to soak up the grease and this accum...
The steel wool doesn't remove the black coating and expose grey areas? That's my problem.
NEVER use steel wool or copper scouring pads on a seasoned cast iron skillet or pot. This will remove the seasoning you've accumulated. If you need to season a brand new skillet or re-season...

My guess is that when you seared those steaks you got the skillet too hot by not having enough grease or oil in the skillet. You probably burned off part of the cast iron "seasoning" that has accumulated through the years. Those outside burners can have the same result as placing your skillet in a ...

Your initial employer should have given you a 1099-R for this distribution which you should have filed with your 2011 return. This 1099-R would have had a code letter or number on it to indicate whether the distribution was taxable or not. Whenever you actively receive retirement distributions inst...
