By the way We are still dealing with this problem. Bricks still aren't consistent. Bricklayer has acid washed 2 times now. A lot of it came off, but the upper 1/4 of the wall that was never sacked is still noticably different and the opposite wall still have white blotches. It's a nightmare....

re: Brick Mortar question (sacked finish over done) - FleuryNipples
second sure clean 600(Prosoco), but only after the brick mortar has dried and you have had a talk with your mason. The mason should've built you a sample board and done a trial run of his sack washing and had you sign off on it before he started smearing mortar on that brick.
...
Use a gallon of water and 1/4 gallon acid. Either a scrub brush or sprayer. It will come off
What kind of acid? Is this something I could do myself? Gonna wait it out see if it washes off a little in time, but How much would it cost to hire someone to do this if need be?...

I hope. But it seemed to have dried so "white". I'll post close up pic tomorrow. Hopefully the red starts to show through more ...

re: Brick Mortar question (sacked finish over done) - FleuryNipples
ps: i wouldnt call that first pic "sacked". its more a "no tooling on the joints" finish. side note - i've built over 250 houses in BR and have had a total of one sack-job done
Is it possible to make the current bricks appear like the "no tool on joints" picture? ...
