What I like about the Terrain:
- Great legroom in front and in back. Handles the largest car seats with ease.
- Easy on gas with the 2.4 and 6A and isn't too much of a slug.

To me they seem like vehicles that people buy because they don't need to tow with a Tahoe and they just can't bear to be seen driving a proper minivan. That said, I think they're good looking vehicles and I really like my sister's smaller GMC Terrain.

TDI VW's will honestly get 45mpg on the interstate cruising at 70mph. My mother's Jetta wagon, while ugly, does have an enormous moonroof and can honestly fit 4 people in comfort. Good legroom.
