Don't have facts back this up so I just guessing and I know there are a lot more gun hunters than bow. But willing to bet 2-3 times more deer are wounded and lost with gun than those with bow every year. I also have never seen a deer running around with a arrow hanging out....

If your looking to change it out go ahead but I'm about 90% sure your problem is thermocouple which is a >$15 part and anyone could change out with a small cresant wrench and 10 minutes...

I agree on the reteriver side but that dog is like pissed off pit bull on roids. Like I said I have limited experience with them but because of that one dog the breed turns me off. I've seen too many labs that are great at what they do to want to look anywhere else for a reteriver. ...

I've always had black labs and IMO they are the best retervies. I hunt with a guy that owns a chessie and not a big fan of it. Average reteriver at best (and I'm being nice) absolutely no fun to be around, don't ever try to pet it or go in his house or yard. I understand the dogs reteriving skills a...

Maybe some can explain better but FF is the act of training a dog to hold a reterive until told to drop. It also teaches the dog that retrieving is not a game but a command that must be obeyed. If you can justify getting one for reasons 1 & 3 I say get one but IMO in 99% of hunting sisustuons 12ga with 3 1/2 is more than enough. On a side note I quit buying 3 1/2 in shells years ago because just don't think I need them....

Me and my 85 year old grandfather went sight in our deer rifles in yesterday, he also shot a hog earlier this season while squirrel hunting. Said he picked the small one because he didn't want to drag heavy one. Love getting together with him...

That is a saftey device that shuts the gas valve if the bulb doesn't detect heat heat from the Pilot light. With a small crescent wrench very easy to change...
