How old was she?
She was only 6. In perfect health it seemed. Figured she had another 5-10 years left. For her to just fall out so suddenly is shocking. She was a great dog....

re: Lost a good pup today - DuckManiak
I haven't lost a dog in quite a while. Seems like forever since I've felt this. She was certainly spoiled to say the least. I'm away for work and hadn't seen her in a few weeks. Going to be awful to go home without her there shaking her butt like boxers do. Thank you all for the condolences. I hate ...

Lost a good pup today - DuckManiak
No, she wasn't a bird dog, and she wasn't even mine, but I lived with her for 3 years. She was like a daughter to my brother and he brought her everywhere. She fell over and stopped breathing at the hunting camp this afternoon. I know you're all strangers, but reading posts and posting makes me feel...

re: Hot foot pros and cons - DuckManiak
I love my hot foot on my bass boat. Twisting rivers and hair pin turns, you can't beat it. Works well with blinker trim. Only con I've come across is when in running to a different river through the lake. When it gets rough, you can never run a steady rpm. Burns more fuel....

Please suggest some outdoor books - DuckManiak
I forgot who posted about the Bobby Cole books, but thank you. I've read both in the "Jake Crosby" series, and even The Rented Mule. How Bobby Cole takes his love for the outdoors and turns it into a mystery/suspense novel was pretty cool. I'm fresh out of books, though. What y'all got?...

re: Do blue collar guys think that they're inherently tough?? - DuckManiak
I went to school and got a 2 year degree in business. I was on scholarship playing ball, and that was the easiest degree offered. I had no intention of using it. I just wanted to play ball and party. At 20 I realized I wasn't good enough to go to the next level and knew I wouldn't last another 2 yea...

re: Winterizing your 2 stroke outboard - DuckManiak
meauxjeaux2
Well damn, guess I'm going to boat city  thanks for your detailed post. This is my first 2 stroke (besides tiller handles) I used to run no ethanol, but the store I usually went to shut down. Now, it's 15 miles out the way to get it. ...

Winterizing your 2 stroke outboard - DuckManiak
My 150 mercury is running like a top. I bought my boat in March and have had no problems with it. I'm about to go to work for 3 months in North Carolina. Besides draining gas lines, what steps should I take to make sure she runs when I get home? ...

AT&T or Verizon hotspot - DuckManiak
Going to work in North Carolina for 3 months starting 9/8/14. Will be working 7/12s but usually have a few nights off. How many GB would I need to stream football games? I'm thinking the most there is. Here is the issue. I have unlimited AT&T and don't want to switch my plan that I'm grandfathered i...

re: Boat trailer inspection question - DuckManiak
Yes, title in hand from Georgia. I let my bank handle all of my paperwork and all I'm getting is shite from both ends. I just keep all of my paperwork in my boat and tell green jeans it's pending. They haven't had a problem with it yet. Just getting aggravating getting the run around. ETA: my boa...

re: Bass fishing is frustrating. - DuckManiak
Caught both of mine on reflex hits in less than a foot of water. My buddy had a 3 pounder slam his buzz bait and spit the hook. I could see the desperation in his eyes after that  he then proceeded to get caught up in every tree on the river. It was just not a good day....

Nah, not high. It wasn't ideal, but not as bad as it has been after all the rain a few weeks back. Contemplated just going to the lake and drowning my sorrows in miller lite, but I was $60 invested ...

Bass fishing is frustrating. - DuckManiak
Fished a tournament today out of Manchac. Rode long canal to Tangipahoa river and had 2 fish (2 pounds each) before 8. Fished hard in the heat and didn't get another hit. I threw everything I had in my tackle box. We think we are doing good until a buddy of mine (fishing the same places we are) has ...
