re: I've quit smokeless tobacco. - DuckManiak
It was going to be my resolution to quit, too. I've never kept one of my resolutions, though  my uncle quit 5 years ago. When Obama passed that tax, he went to get a can and it doubled in price. He said to hell with it and hasn't dipped since. ...

Yeah, I work outages, so only work half the year. Good thing about nuclear plants is you can't dip in containment. Bad thing about nuclear plants is I'm hardly ever in containment  we'll see how it goes when I go back to work dealing with the jack holes I deal with on the daily. ...

I appreciate it, man. It's not an option for me anymore. Too many people have already told me I couldn't. I don't take too kindly to that. Luckily, my last can went out. I only go into a gas station to buy tobacco, so I just have to avoid doing that. No one I knew dipped mint like me, and I despise ...

Started when I was 15 and I'm 24 now. Ready to kick it. I hate being prisoner to something. Nicotine had me. My mom always begged me to stop, but I know now that it had to be my choice. ...

I'm an addict. Thought it was only "as needed" but it turned into a can a day. I'd like to get it to where I can take it or leave it because damn I'd like a dip right now....

I've quit smokeless tobacco. - DuckManiak
Same guy that got me started when I was 15 decided to quit. We're still best friends, so of course I say, "If you can, do can I." It's been 4 days. Of course, my triggers are driving and hunting. I drove 4 hrs to come hunting with my dad. I haven't had much of a craving. My girlfriend sure appreciat...

Christmas gift for siblings - DuckManiak
Having a tough time with this one. Oldest brother is 28 and middle brother is 25. Both hunt/fish, but are successful in life, so just buy everything they need. Was going to get them a nice fire pit on wheels, but my dad already got them both one for their houses. Both have nice skinning knives. Don'...
How old was she?
She was only 6. In perfect health it seemed. Figured she had another 5-10 years left. For her to just fall out so suddenly is shocking. She was a great dog....

re: Lost a good pup today - DuckManiak
I haven't lost a dog in quite a while. Seems like forever since I've felt this. She was certainly spoiled to say the least. I'm away for work and hadn't seen her in a few weeks. Going to be awful to go home without her there shaking her butt like boxers do. Thank you all for the condolences. I hate ...

Lost a good pup today - DuckManiak
No, she wasn't a bird dog, and she wasn't even mine, but I lived with her for 3 years. She was like a daughter to my brother and he brought her everywhere. She fell over and stopped breathing at the hunting camp this afternoon. I know you're all strangers, but reading posts and posting makes me feel...

re: Hot foot pros and cons - DuckManiak
I love my hot foot on my bass boat. Twisting rivers and hair pin turns, you can't beat it. Works well with blinker trim. Only con I've come across is when in running to a different river through the lake. When it gets rough, you can never run a steady rpm. Burns more fuel....

Please suggest some outdoor books - DuckManiak
I forgot who posted about the Bobby Cole books, but thank you. I've read both in the "Jake Crosby" series, and even The Rented Mule. How Bobby Cole takes his love for the outdoors and turns it into a mystery/suspense novel was pretty cool. I'm fresh out of books, though. What y'all got?...

I went to school and got a 2 year degree in business. I was on scholarship playing ball, and that was the easiest degree offered. I had no intention of using it. I just wanted to play ball and party. At 20 I realized I wasn't good enough to go to the next level and knew I wouldn't last another 2 yea...
meauxjeaux2
Well damn, guess I'm going to boat city  thanks for your detailed post. This is my first 2 stroke (besides tiller handles) I used to run no ethanol, but the store I usually went to shut down. Now, it's 15 miles out the way to get it. ...
