re: Creepy true stories that happened to you - EastcoastEER
Great topic for a slow-as-frick day at the office. My contribution (might have actually posted this here before)..... Grew up in the sticks of southern West Virginia. Growing up me and my friends loved spooky shit, so one night when we were seniors in HS we decided to go check out this old, ab...

re: forza 5 or forza horizon 2 - EastcoastEER
I haven't played the original Horizon in awhile so it's a little fuzzy, but when I say no tuning, I literally mean no tuning menu. The upgrade game-mechanic is still there, identical to the regular Forza games. So you can still install new upgraded engine/suspension parts, do engine/drivetrain swa...

re: forza 5 or forza horizon 2 - EastcoastEER
Horizon 2. It will have about 90% of the car content that 5 has, but it will be set in a totally open free-roam world, with day/night cycles and weather effects. Forza 5 is track based circuit racing only, no night racing or weather. The only thing Horizon 2 will be missing compared to 5 is so...

[link=(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c651oh-BbFY)]FF to 22:40[/link] When the kid struggles to climb up into the shuttle on his own, I about lost it - still don't know why that particular 2 second animation crushed me (versus when the shuttle actually gets blown up). It didn't help that I play...
It's based on D&D rules.
 I have no clue, whatsoever, what this means. Is there a quick-and-easy explanation? Or should I go ahead and start looking some future reading material to get me up to speed? It's been a month or two since I last played it, but basically I ...

Pretty sure I went warrior. Basically I got past the big initial battle and to the point in the story where it seems I can pick where to go/what to do next (trying to be spoiler free here). I am going to put more time into it tonight and see how it goes....

I just downloaded DA2 (for $5) in order to get ready for Inquisition. I've had Origins for awhile now, but haven't gotten too far into it yet. I understand Origins is loved by tons of people, but I am just not feeling it at this point - I feel like I don't have a clue how any of the core syste...

re: What should the punishment for flopping be? - EastcoastEER
What should the punishment for flopping be?
I don't see how it can adequately handled 100% in-game. Everything happens too fast, and without slow-mo instant replay its often hard to tell if legitimate contact was made prior to a player going down. I think there should be an offic...
You would just have to work offshore for uncertain amounts of time. We work until the job's done. You would not be an engineer, and you would be working under guys with no degrees, but the money is there. Lately they will hire engineer majors for these positions. It's just the worst lifestyle...

re: Highest First Job Salaries - EastcoastEER
Came out of school with a fake (industrial) engineering degree, started at $65k as a PM-in-training for a specialty industrial contractor. Buddy of mine got a dual engineering degree (mechanical and aerospace) and started north of $110k as a drilling engineer on rigs in cold arse spots up north....

I honestly wasn't expecting much (if anything) on the next ME game, but I was hoping for a Halo MCC style treatment for the original trilogy to keep people interested in the meantime....

My son just turned 2 a few months back and we are seeing similar things from him. Only difference being that its the "monsters" instead of a bear, and he only seems genuinely scared less than 1/4 of the time. Most of the time it's just a game to him and he laughs like crazy while we go into some r...

I'm sales for a specialty industrial contractor. My sick-to-your-stomach, "oh mother of frick" moments only happen AFTER we are locked into a contract and a problem is found. I've only had one of those moments, and I was later able to find out a decent solution for all parties involved. It was n...

Kid I knew growing up was that guy - smart enough (not a genius, but not an idiot, either), popular, natural athlete, etc. Came from a very good family - responsible, involved parents, not rich, but very comfortable. The kind of kid that has everything going for him to succeed in life. Sometime h...

Saw it yesterday. Loved it, though based on the trailers I expected it to be a little bit darker than it actually was. Pretty sure at least a couple of the "mass death & destruction" shots from the initial trailer(s), the ones with dead civilians scattered about, were not in the final cut. As som...

Picked it up a last week. FIFA is not an annual purchase for me (last one I got was '12), but I absolutely love the World Cup games. Don't have much experience with FIFA 14, but the play definitely feels quick. It seems almost too easy to get behind the defense with medium-range thru balls. Al...
