re: Pelicans 97 @ Nuggets 117 / Final / Official Game Thread - landrywasbeast30
Being a good coach involves finding a player's strength, and putting everyone in the best position to succeed. Having Tyreke in as a starter doesn't work. He dominates the ball. So what do you do? Put a shooter in his spot, and bring Tyreke off the bench. Babbitt won't look as bad playing with ...

re: Pelicans 97 @ Nuggets 117 / Final / Official Game Thread - landrywasbeast30
babbitt and salmons suck
Babbitt sucks because Monty has no idea how to coach. Babbitt should be in Tyreke's spot as a starter. Then they could protect him on defense, and he could just spot up for 3's. Plus, now you have Tyreke and Anderson off the bench. And Gordon, and e...

If Tyreke was running a 5 on 0 break, I'm not sure he wouldn't find a way to either miss a layup or turn it over....

re: Hill>Ingram - landrywasbeast30
Are you claiming our offensive line has played well today?
This is funny because that is the same o-line that is the reason Ingram has looked better. But all of a sudden when Ingram looks like Ingram, it's the o-line's fault. This is who he is. Some rb's are more dep...

re: Hill>Ingram - landrywasbeast30
Are some of you seriously suggesting Ingram is as good as Hill? That's a joke. Hill got drafted to play behind a guy many people are high on, and might steal that guy's job. Also, Bengals o-line been garbage this year from what I've heard....

re: Running the ball? - landrywasbeast30
This was a Robinson/PT game. Ingram's success is big time tied to the o-line opening huge holes. PT and Robinson are better at creating something out of nothing. Ingram is almost useless if he can't get a head of steam, if their is any traffic at the line....

re: Every single team I watched yesterday has better QB play that us. - landrywasbeast30
It's the system. There is a reason he stares down one wr. Many times there is only one wr for him to throw to. A large portion of LSU's passing game is to send one wr on a go route, and throw it to him even in triple coverage. Even with Jarrett Lee and Jefferson, they used to do the same thing. ...

re: Bill Simmons : Is Drew Brees Still Good? - landrywasbeast30
I think people wanted to kill him during the draft.
The guy started a website that seemed like it would be cool, but ended up just hiring a bunch of young hipsters who have conversations that are in no way representative of how most people converse about this stuff. He started han...

re: Bill Simmons : Is Drew Brees Still Good? - landrywasbeast30
That's him. The funny thing is, he isn't even really knowledgeable about basketball. He's more of a historian who remembers a lot of stuff from the past. His conversations with Zach Lowe are basically Zach doing everything in his power to not call Simmons an idiot....

re: Bill Simmons : Is Drew Brees Still Good? - landrywasbeast30
If you listen to Simmons for his opinions, you are listening for the wrong reasons. I've been reading and listening to the guy since he started at ESPN, and I'm pretty sure he's in the middle of a midlife crisis. Only interesting thing about his podcasts are hearing the actual smart people shoot d...

I'd rather them get the call right than use examples of them not doing their job correctly as the reason why they should continue not doing their job correctly. It just seems kind of ridiculous to argue against a good call because refs sucked in the past....

Exactly. So if the guy tackles Graham on that play before the ball gets there, would these people be okay with it not being called? It's such a stupid argument, just like in basketball. Apparently there is this idea that everything is allowed at the end of games, unless it hurts your team of ...

This thread makes so many people look like homer morons, it's insane. First of all, it doesn't matter how hard the shove was. The whole point of the penalty is extending your arms to create space. On the live view, the same view the sideline ref has, it looked like a full on two hand shove from...

Someone please show me where I said you leave your zone. In zone, you hand the guy off to the next zone area. How small do you guys think a player's zone is? I can tell you one thing for certain, you definitely don't get out the guy's way without touching him, and let him go right past you....

re: WHAT THE frick WAS SJB DOING - landrywasbeast30
Looked to me like SJB was only person playing zone. And even if they were in zone, you're not supposed to just step aside and let the guy go running free like that. You have to stay with him and hand him off to the next guy. SJB just got out the wr's way, and pointed to where he thought the safet...
