re: Why is playing the lottery so difficult for people who have never played it? - Casty McBoozer
Don't go in a convenience store before work. Problem solved. You can pay for gas outside at the pump, and pretty much anything else you get in there is a bad idea anyway....
Let's say they want it changed and I don't want to spend the extra $1100
Why is it going to cost that much to replace the load center and breakers? I'm pretty sure I got all that for a couple hundred bucks, and I went w/ Cutler Hammer...

re: What is the best option for rural internet? - Casty McBoozer
Wireless links can go 5 miles for sure. You probably need a little height though. You could put up a little self supporting tower and use a couple of Ubiquiti dishes. It all depends what's between you and that 5 mile mark for how high you'd need the radios....

I do flooring, painting, molding, electric, oil changes, brake pads, drainage...but I'm too poor to pay contractors. I couldn't afford to hire myself as a matter of fact....

Comcast business internet - VoIP QoS? - Casty McBoozer
Does anyone know if Comcast honors QoS tagging? Do their SMC modems? I don't see any QoS options in the SMC, so I'm guessing there's nothing there...but if I get a router that's QoS capable, and get the public IP on it, can I help out this VoIP system? Or will Comcast just disregard QoS tagging?...

re: The Ice Bucket Challenge claims a life - Casty McBoozer
What does "tomb-stoning" into the quarry mean? All it says is kids were jumping into the quarry, but they've been doing this for a long time. How do they figure this is ice bucket challenge related? Seems like a stretch to me, unless I'm missing something....

He's got high ceilings, he should get a PoE AP and mount it up there. We don't know what his apartment situation is, he could get another cheap crap router on the desk and not improve his reception at all. I know Ubiquiti stuff works well. He won't have a bad time....
Wi-Fi booster
Boosters are absolute shite. There is no good one. The very idea of the technology is horrible. 1400 sq ft should be easy as frick to cover, even from the corner, unless you're going through brick/metal/something really thick. You need a decent AP. We do a lot of ...
