Rangers need pitching that is obvious and a 3B is they dealt Beltre
The nice thing about not trading Beltre is that the end of his contract coincides with the supposed promotion plan of Gallo to the majors. I think that's another reason they do not want to trade him so they don't ha...

Your hope is that you get a star and a few good players out of a highly ranked farm system and then you can use the rest as trade chips. They know more than 80% of those guys won't amount to anything in the majors, but they are damn nice to have to trick some other team that they might pan out....
Neither did anything but give away prospects.
You mean, like how the Rangers still have a top 10 farm system? And after this season, it will probably be top 5. Or would you rather be the Angels with a team full of players on the wrong side of 30 and a farm system ranked dead l...

re: MLB Trade Deadline Deals and Rumors: - DrVinnyBoombatz
I think by JD announcing that he is not available means he already has a leg up in negotiations. I think the conversation starts with a MLB ready pitcher or outfielder. The main reason I think it will take that much to move Beltre is because the Rangers just do not want to move him. They believ...

re: MLB Trade Deadline Deals and Rumors: - DrVinnyBoombatz
I believe that is what it would take for JD to move him. And he is still an elite hitter and he is signed for next year. Any contending team would take Beltre in a heart beat even at his age and the Rangers are obviously hoping a team would grossly overpay for him. .335 with 14 homers and he ...

It would have to be a Mark Teixiera haul and even then it would most likely have to include a Major League ready pitcher. Management still believes that this year was an aberration and are only a starting pitcher and another piece away from being near the top next year. Similar to the 2013 Giant...

Mike Modano and Jere Lehtinen. Jere was the perfect player next to Mike. The line of Hull-Modano-Lehtinen was absolutely deadly in the '99 playoffs. Modano knew he could use his speed and break early because Lehtinen was so good defensively and at stealing the puck. [img]http://www.canada.co...

I actually do have a peanut allergy, severe enough that I can die if I eat them. They do not affect me if someone is eating them in my vicinity. It only happens if I ingest them. re: Will the Rangers make any moves before the trade deadline? - DrVinnyBoombatz
As much as I love Beltre, the defensive metrics are showing a decline in fielding this year. As it is, his hamstrings seem to be hanging on by a thread. I really do think that he will spend at least half of his games next year as a DH. And the offer for Beltre would have to be significant for J...

Gallo has been promoted to AA where he is still playing third base. That would put him on track to be a 2015 September call-up. I believe that Gallo has yet to play a single game in the outfield, not saying that he never will, but it looks like he will be our future 3rd baseman. Chi Chi has muc...

The rotation is going to be the number one concern going into next year. If ChiChi keeps up his pace in AA, I could see him starting as the number 4/5 starter next year (he will be 23). Realistically, he will probably start the season in AAA and be an early call-up. From what I've heard, Jackson ...

Our top prospects are untouchable at this point in time. No reason to move any of them. Rios might be moved, but he might not bring back a package that is attractive enough for the Rangers to do. Next year will be interesting, as I believe a middle infielder will be traded (One of Odor, ...
