Need a recommendation for a good shop around BR to take my '99 GMC K2500. I've neglected it for quite a while and need to take it in for a good once over. Needs tune up, replacement parts for multiple things that aren't working, possible level kit, etc. Using my Tahoe a lot for hunting/fishing ri...

It's the one from cabelas with the waterproof material on bottom and up the sides. Says it can go in 10" of water. Got a place to hunt it with less than 6". Will test this wknd and see what happens. It's the northern flight ultimate.
Won't be very comfortable shooting from that position but wil...

Anybody used the layout blinds with waterproof bottom in flooded ag fields? I bought one and planning to try it out this weekend. Going to try it on a levee but also want to try it out in the middle of a field as well. Will be my first time to hunt a layout. Just wondering what if there are any tr...
| Outdoor Board|| re: Who has the best quality lightweight waders? - BLM on 12/11/14 at 9:53 am|
This is the answer. They're the only waders I've owned for the past 10-15 yrs...however long ago they started making them. Very easy to patch when/if they get punctured. WAY better down here in LA where it rarely gets cold and stays cold. You can also roll them down and make waist waders. ...

Only guided hunts I've been on in Louisiana were at Grosse Savanne Lodge which is south of Lake Charles. Its hard to get on their list due to large amount of corporate groups that get first right of refusal to the same dates year after year, but they may have a day or two to fit you in. Lodge is a...

I used to hunt with some guys from GA that used face paint...gave them $hit every hunt. They were pretty hardcore and enjoyed putting in the work so it didn't bother me. I had to draw the line when they started putting custom stickers with tag lines on the sides of our covered trailers. ...

How close are you to cocodrie(I believe that's what it's called)? It's a flooded timber lake but I think most if it is private. At least that's what it looks like when you ride around in it. I've hunted there in the past and shot wood ducks and a few mallards. May start asking around the area and g...

Man, I miss the days when IB had virtually nobody hunting it. Putting that boat launch in has turned it into a zoo. We also used to kill a lot of late season birds by ourselves in the fields they used to flood. One of my best hunts ever was in those fields on the last weekend of the season...proba...

Saw a lot of ducks and geese in central LA yesterday evening. Farmer told me they just started showing up the last few days. Thousands of geese.
Also heard a good report from hopedale/Delacroix area.
Should be an awesome coastal opener and east zone opener back to back. I'm friggin fired up!...

Wife and I decided to move back to BR after being away for 12 years. Been back almost a year and a half now and we're still not really satisfied with it.
