Yes, its a full overlay. Its legit, I havent fished with a standard mapping card so not sure if it has more detail or not but all the guides I know have Navionics.

You need to sit down with the Mrs. and truly determine how much you will use it. If shes the type that has to have you home all the time then sell it, if she's like mine and can deal with you away a weekend or two a month than keep her.

Should be able to get in a decent boat for $15k, I bought a 03' 22' with 150 2 stroke for $13.5 and looked at quite a few nice ones in the 15 range.

I have a 22' blazer bay and couldn't be happier. Not the fanciest boat on the market but well made and meant to take a beating all day long fishing.
I ended up picking up a used one, originally was looking at new and sea hunt and nautic star were my favorites. IMO nautic star was the better boat...

Thats what I am figuring, did a little research and seems they are still pretty popular among enthusiasts.
I actually found converters where I could use lenses on my T3i, however in researching unless your a pro with setting exposure limits, lights, etc. it defeats the purpose of a technical cam...

True, however I fish near rigs offshore quite often where cell phone signal is iffy which is why I'm leaning more towards EPIRB as will be a backup to cell phone in event I dont have a signal....
