Geez! Didn't realize decent public courses were so hard to come by around there. We've done Dancing Rabbit in Philadelphia, MS and some of the courses in Hot Springs Village in the past. I'm one of the guys located in Houston, so I was hoping for something a bit closer to home. Any other thougts...

Need some help planning a golf trip, and we're considering Shreveport, for no other reason than central location (paricipants coming from Memphis, Dallas, Houston, and Little Rock). So, I have several questions:
1) Are there decent tracks in the Shreveport area? I'm completely clueless.

:lol: Funny you mention this. I threw out the master bedroom closet as an alternative, and it was quickly destroyed by the lady. Can't really argue since she gave me the safe.

Fellow Outdoor Boarders -- wife and i just bought a new home. She recently also bought me a 20-gun gun safe for my birthday. As the house was being built, we were told the laundry room would be a certain size (comparable to the model home). Unfortunately, circumstances changed and the laundry ende...

My wife and I were supposed to join some friends for the Hangout Music Festival this year, but for a handful of reasons, now have to back out. As such, we're selling our two tickets, which include weekend access to all shows but don't include the shuttle service.

Thanks, guys. This is all very helpful stuff. Looks like I'll be begging a portfolio lender to help me out and then refinancing in a couple years.
Really appreciate the help....

Thanks, guys. I'll look into both of those options.
TnS, I'm assuming you had been 1099 for >2 years prior to securing this loan with Whitney; am I right? Apparently, that's the key, and I've only got 2-3 months this far. Regardless, I'll give Whitney a call tomorrow and see if they can help....

Need the money board's collective insight again. I'll try to be brief:

- home is in Texas (Houston area)
- at that time, I was a W2 employee of a large firm
- in early November, left firm to work directl...

One other thing to consider when choosing schools: pay attention to whether or not you genuinely like the alums you meet. "Networking" becomes less of a chore and more like making friends when you actually like the people. When I decided to go back to school, I started paying attention to all my col...

TBD. Construction is just beginning, so I'm assuming all options are still on the table. That said, I'd probably lean toward a pull down screen for no particular reason. Is one better than the others or is it a matter of personal preference?...

| Money Talk|| re: If you had 120,000 in the bank. - rlanders23 on 6/4/13 at 10:35 pm|
Not necessarily true. With many employers, you don't have to invest equal amounts throughout the year, meaning you can front-load, or in your case, back-load your 401k. Basically, instead of contributing 17,500/24 or 26(based on how often you get paid)per month, you'd simply invest twice that amou...

Where's the capital coming from? If it's coming from the bank, I'd assume it'll be very cheap, but this will likely depend on your company's size, rating (if applicable). If I were in your shoes, I'd use something very low (in the 5% range), but I could be wrong.

Not 100% sure for Delta, but I'm fairly confident the answer is no. Typically, the status is only achieved by actual flight miles, not including all the bonuses.
