re: Has any OTer been accused by a rental car company of not returning a rental? - rlanders23
Yes. Forgot to leave the keys in the car and didn't realize until on the bus to the terminal. Dropped them in the provided "key drop" on the bus and assumed all was well. Rental car company called two days later to ask where the vehicle was. Was annoying, but we were able to resolve the issue over t...
I'm sure this has been asked, so apologies for beating a dead horse, but have we gone away from having the yard lines labeled every five yards? I notice they are currently labeled in increments of ten. Thanks in advance.
Thanks. Makes sense....

re: Anyone here watched a game at Wrigley from one of the rooftop clubs? - rlanders23
CHIPs25 has a great point here. However, I'll add that in the last year or so, the scalpers have done a much better job colluding. In many cases, they'd rather eat the tickets for a given game than sell them at a deep discount -- this prevents them from driving the behavior Chip described. I'm no...

Several times. You should sign up for Living Social and set your preferences to receive Chiago deals. They're constantly offering seats for $80-$100 per person, which includes all you can eat and drink. In fact, I got one within the past few days so you might just go straight to their website an...
I didn't include any stats,
Apologies, P&G86. I was viewing from my phone and lumped you in with the OP. Still completely disagree with your logic of avoiding this dreaded 3rd round through the lineup, but I apologize for pinning the stats on you. ...
This is where I trust the decision of the coaching staff that spends months upon months of their time working through fall practices and bullpens with the kid over a bunch of idiots on a message board.
If this is the case, why include the stats at all? If you trust the staff and th...

re: For everyone blaming CPM for pulling Bouman Sunday, please read this - rlanders23
This doesn't really prove anything. It would be a much stronger argument if you had stats showing that bouman was getting blasted once he crossed that 6 inning threshold. Using your stats, who's to say he wouldnt get stronger in the later innings?...

re: Houston CPA Recommendation - rlanders23
Individual taxes with a mix of W2 and 1099 earnings. I'm an independent contractor, providing consulting services. However, last year I was W2 for most of the year and then 1099 for the last ~3 months. Additionally, I moved from a state with state income tax to Texas. My wife was also pregnant f...

Houston CPA Recommendation - rlanders23
Any of you Houston peeps use a CPA you'd recommend? I'm in The Woodlands but would be willing to drive a bit for the right person. Please include approximate cost in your recommendation, if you don't mind. Lastly, if there's any context you can provide, that would help me out. Thanks in advance...

Geez! Didn't realize decent public courses were so hard to come by around there. We've done Dancing Rabbit in Philadelphia, MS and some of the courses in Hot Springs Village in the past. I'm one of the guys located in Houston, so I was hoping for something a bit closer to home. Any other thougts...

Shreveport Golf Trip Board - rlanders23
Need some help planning a golf trip, and we're considering Shreveport, for no other reason than central location (paricipants coming from Memphis, Dallas, Houston, and Little Rock). So, I have several questions: 1) Are there decent tracks in the Shreveport area? I'm completely clueless. 2) Ar...

Gun Safe Placement - rlanders23
Fellow Outdoor Boarders -- wife and i just bought a new home. She recently also bought me a 20-gun gun safe for my birthday. As the house was being built, we were told the laundry room would be a certain size (comparable to the model home). Unfortunately, circumstances changed and the laundry ende...

Thanks, guys. I'll look into both of those options. TnS, I'm assuming you had been 1099 for >2 years prior to securing this loan with Whitney; am I right? Apparently, that's the key, and I've only got 2-3 months this far. Regardless, I'll give Whitney a call tomorrow and see if they can help....
