re: Wood fired pizza - Downtown New Orleans - LSUAfro
Prepared to get slammed for this, but I think Blaze is as good
Runningtiger/Tulane, that you? I'm curious to try it, but I'll be looking for a beer with it, so maybe another trip....

re: Wood fired pizza - Downtown New Orleans - LSUAfro
I currently think Wood is the best fancy pizza in town
Nice. I'll be in the CBD for a few days in a couple weeks for work so looking to try some new casual spots without having to hop in a cab. I tend to get stuck on repeat with my wife and we end up at the same spots.
Solid ...

Wood fired pizza - Downtown New Orleans - LSUAfro
Domenica is always my go to, and I haven't been to Dolce Vita since they opened up in Nola. I'm now seeing that Wood Pizza Bistro and Taphouse has some pretty good weekday specials and happy hour plus a decent beer selection, but I've never been. Any others? Ranking top 3 just on pizza? ...

re: How to start a restaurant - LSUAfro
I agree with starting out with a food truck. Be prepared to work long hours and not turn a profit for a few years mostly likely. It's definitely a long term investment starting a brand new restaurant.
If you're in your mid 20's that's probably where I'd go, but in your 30's, you'...

re: How much weight do you expect to lose per month? - LSUAfro
As a guy that puts on about 10-15 lbs of football watching weight every fall/winter, it usually takes me about 2-4 months to get it off. A good number if getting after it is about 2 lbs/week, but I usually lose a week or two due to an event on a weekend....

re: Coolinary month is over, what where some of your hits and misses? - LSUAfro
I used to hit these deals up and felt like they had some decent value out there, but I've lost interest in it. They force a menu on you and prices don't seem to be a deal anymore. I'm looking at restaurant week and it seems to be the same thing as Coolinary month....
I got mine because I was initially facing a tight connection from China to Newark to MSY. I only travel overseas once a year, so extra $25 / 5 trips over 5 year period you can have it = $5 per skipped line. I'll pay that every time. I REALLY REALLY hate lines. On another note: [/q...

re: Is Kin restaurant purely BYOB? - LSUAfro
Was still BYOB as of 2-3 weeks ago. Communal seating but it wasn't as tight as some I've been to. Service was relaxed and fun but attentive. Tried damn near the whole menu and everything was executed well and prepared very nice. I look forward to a return visit in the cooler months and ...

Get married. That should allow you come in under the threshold and it will definitely save you money. But seriously, go talk to your HR dept, get registered for an online 401k account, and direct money to a target fund. Most of these online 401k sites are fairly self explanatory....

re: Credit Card Rewards and Points Discussion - LSUAfro
My logic dictates if one of those is going away first, its the Premier bonus. I think when you have a card for $450 up front you are going to have to keep that bonus up there, so I'm putting it off for at least 10 months if I can swing it to bridge it with an expiring Premier to keep the poin...
