re: The Business End - AUTimbo
Awesome pics. Might I suggest the next time you release the rattlers or other venomous types that you kindly sever the heads from their bodies. Contrary to popular belief this will actually help the species proliferate since both parts will regrow the necessary appendages. Thank you for you...

He was a master at manipulation but in all honesty we have one in power now that is nothing but charisma and look at how many fools still believe in that POS. :banghead: Hitler was able to enthrall the German masses because he brought them hope and pride after the hopelessness that followed pos...

re: The Air Force and Boeing are turning retired F-16's into drones - AUTimbo
I was stationed at Tyndall back in the mid-late 80's. We had the QF-100 and QF106 target drones back then and were just transitioning into the QF-4's. While I'm sure the electronics are immeasurably upgraded these days it isn't as much of a turkey shoot as some think. An unmanned drone, even back t...

re: Power Pole Micro (Updated with review) - AUTimbo
Thanks for the info. Am looking at getting a Ranger RT-188 in the somewhat near future and wanted to go with a micro or two in place of Talons or full-size PP's. Sounds like it should work just fine....

re: Fishing shows... - AUTimbo
Timmy Horton's fishing show. Goes to nothing but public lakes (no Lake X or Floroda phosphate pits) and usually just deals with one technique and breaking it down to the nuts and bolts. His rattletrap show on pre spawners at Lake Seminole last season was one for the ages....

re: What size reel to get... - AUTimbo
I have an older gen of the 1000 Symetre and I love it. However i actually was in the market to get another last year and was not as impressed with the latest offerings. My older Shimano was MUCH more reel than the newer models. Believe I wound up getting a Quantum they had on a ridiculous sale which...

re: Duckett rods - AUTimbo
Well I took the Duckett back to Academy and left with another Ghost but in the 7 ft version instead of the 7'3" like I had. Went down the road and popped into Cabelas. Mistake. LOL After checking the upper end Ducketts and many others I decided to pop for a G Loomis E6X, their entry level ...

re: Duckett rods - AUTimbo
As a comparison I had my 6'10" Allstar med/hvy with me also throwing a shaky head on 10 lb test. I have set on roughly 20 or more fish from 1 lb to 6 1/2 with that rig just in the last two weeks... MUCH closer and up in the pads and that rod comes through it everytime, ...despite my fears in throw...

re: Duckett rods - AUTimbo
I figured if anything with a fast tip if it broke it would be at the first foot or so at the tip. Damn thing broke clean even before the rod really loaded up from the set. And the fish was a good 15-20 yds away, so it wasn't one of those boat-side "cross his eyes" hooksets like when you are trying ...

Duckett rods - AUTimbo
Saw one in Academy few weeks back. Fell in love. Med/hvy fast tip...perfect for several types of presentations. $100 sounds bout right. Had some schoolers blow up near the yak this a.m. so I grab the Great White Hope holding a fluke, whip it at the boil, feel him grab it and set the hook.....BAM!...

re: spin off thread: What do y'all think of green herons? - AUTimbo
I spooked one the other day when yaking way up a creek. Instead of taking to the air the SOB dove and swam by me,even passed directly underneath my yak. One of the darndest things I've ever seen. Only thing I could figure is he was so engrossed on a hunt I was on top of him before he realized I ...
I have stuff in there that would stain a carpet right now. Old brake rotor, two rusty exhaust manifolds, one chain, a tire covered in brake dust. Do you take it out when you have stuff like that?
I'm guessing you must drive a Ford and have to tote around your spare fix-it parts. ...
