I think this desire to get Florida off of the LSU schedule is short sighted with the new world of the playoff coming.
Remember, the playoff teams will be selected pretty much the same way the NCAA Tournament teams are.

That OSU squad losing to Iowa State is a fluke.
Losing to Alabama is not a fluke.
Losing to Alabama while playing offensive football at a level not played at by this team in years, combined with 59 minutes of expected great defense plus 1 minute of inexcusably bad defense at home is a fluke.

1. Night...it has an effect. It shouldn't, but it does.
2. It hasn't happened in a while, but Saban's Alabama team has laid a few eggs in similar situations in the past.
3. Several others this year have fallen the first time they have played anyone of significance....

They played about as bad as they have ever played in the Les Miles era against Alabama in the Superdome (if you don't count the Monday night affair againt Tennessee), and the score was 21-0.
They will do a bit more than zip, but Alabama is not gonna do much better than 21.

This game is in the monring on the road.
Given how this season has gone, LSU needs to hold its opponent to under 20 to win.
They certainly can do it, but I have no issue with anyone picking LSU...

1. The last time the Huskies played LSU, it wwas in Seattle. Home versus road makes a difference, especially when the road is an atmposphere you are not accustomed to
2. Your QB back then was Jake Locker. He is now a starter in the NFL. That makes a huge difference...

Others can step into the DB/PR roles. You usually have just 1 good QB and 3 pieces of trash.
