Tree removal Service, St. Francisville Area - hunt66
We have a very large Water Oak that needs to come down in the St, Francisville Area. It is a threat to several of the camps and just a matter of time before it falls. Any good recommendations for qualified tree removal companies in that area? Will likely need to be climbed and brought down in sec...

No deer for me but a few hogs with my bow - saw plenty of deer but was too selective early - shame on me! Was on a hunt with my 17 yo son where he made a great decision and a great shot on a nice 9 point, then we used his dog to find it after a rain washed most of the blood away. Was cool to walk u...

[quote]I've never fired a 243 or a 7mm-08. re: When to let a kid shoot a deer? - hunt66
Hard to put an age limit on it. My advice is to start taking them (either son or daughter) when they first seem interested and prepare to be patient (dont take them on a hunt during the prime of the rut in a ladder stand and expect them to be perfectly still - be flexable). Focus on teaching them ...

re: dat yat.... last location of dog.. location updated... - hunt66
Here is some encouragement - we have dogs show up all the time at the camp, some with collars and some without. re: Starter Deer Rifle???? - hunt66
My vote is 7mm-08. My son grew up with it and still shoots it as a young man. We have never lost a deer with it and farthest track was 50 yds about a week ago. Moving buck and he shot a little high but excellent blood trail. Lot of load options as well. Shot placement is key with anything so get ...
