| Money Talk|| Hallmark Card from Bank of America - Why? - Bayou Tiger on 5/23/13 at 8:18 pm|
Today I received an automated Hallmark card in the mail from Bank of America.
On the front "Thinking of You" with some flowers in the background.
"Wishing you a day filled with happy moments.
I enjoyed our conversation today.

Normally I wouldn't say anything at all except for the comment "if all you can afford is term" as if purchasing term alone is for poor people or people of means who just don't get it.
There may be some good reasons to get permanent and its ilk, but the reasoning should revolve around the specific...
If all you can afford is term, good, buy plenty.
And this is the statement from life insurance salesmen that always offends me.
Sure, I could "afford" to pay $600/month permanent/whole premiums instead of $75/month term premiums for the same $1,200,000 policy value. But I didn't g...

I wouldn't necessarily say that low death benefit of whole life was protecting his family well, other than covering funeral costs and the cost of briefly adjusting to life without him.
By comparison, my term life policy has a death benefit of $1,200,000 and costs $75/month....

The app didn't work, so I sent a text to the person who stole it.

In simple terms, standard deviation is the volatility of the investment (sometimes interpreted as risk), while Beta relates this volatility to a certain benchmark index or investment.
Beta = Correlation coefficient between market and stock x (standard deviation of stock returns...

We bought Stratego yesterday and started playing. My son is 6, so this is the only version he knows.

That sounds like some expensive iron and processing.
Hopefully this will fare better than some of the other ultradeep gas tests. If not, this well cost is pennies out of Chevron's pocket but a bigger hit to MMR and EXXI.
