Not necessarily more but if you have a leadoff guy that can get on base it would be good to have a guy behind him that can get him into scoring position. Just my philosophy I suppose...

I agree that he's more "ideal" for the two hole with his walk rate and bc of the lefty-righty split, but I think he would get more RBI opps in the 5 hole and I think Simmons is better used for sac bunt potential in the 2 hole....

Haven't posted this season yet but would anyone else consider it a good idea to move B.J. Upton to leadoff permanently and Simmons to the 2 hole and Heyward to the 5 hole?
And the strikeouts today are ridiculous....

Can't really say the Yanks much anymore. While they stil have the highest payroll in the league most of it is A-Rod and Jeter. They have said that they are shedding payroll. And of the teams last year in the playoffs I believe only the Tigers, Yankees, and Rangers were top in payroll dollars last ye...

And to those that say DH in the NL...no! DH is really a position for players that are at the end of their career or those that can only hit. NL ball is such better baseball IMO...
