| Soccer Board|| re: Michael Bradley's performance versus Germany compared to France's midfielders - Seeker on 7/8/14 at 1:13 am|
I am admittedly a casual soccer fan.
I was also, admittedly left unimpressed with MB in the WC. I understand he was playing out of position, but it though he/we were wakeful with keeping position while other teams seemed to have no difficulty keeping the ball for long periods of time.
So can ...

Ok I missed that part too. I heard them going on for awhile about the ref indicating that he would have been offsides, but he clearly was not. It makes sense that they misinterpreted the call. Either way it was a terrible shank. He has to make that goal. ...

| Soccer Board|| re: Bill Plaschke gonna Bill Plaschke - Seeker on 6/28/14 at 5:31 pm|
This type of reply is idiotic. It is similar to the "if you don't want a team to celebrate in the end zone, don't let them score a touchdown." As if that is some simple, yet genius solution that is radically different than what they were just trying to do.
I'm ok with the goal kicks, but I would...

I am in a similar situation.
My downstairs area is L shaped. The living room area where the T.V. is takes up the corner of the L. The kitchen faces the living room on the "tail" part of the L.
If someone is in the kitchen you can not hear the dialog on the T.V. The house is not pre-wired fo...

| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: New Orleans among 7 cities applying host the draft in the future - Seeker on 5/7/14 at 12:40 pm|
I think the Superbowl winning team should host the draft the following year. It would play off the buzz from the city winning it and it would probably draw a bigger crowd for a longer period being that the winner traditionally picks last. ...

As you know the comment was not directed at you, but the media who never seems to get the correct information to the masses. Although I recognize that bitching about it on TDs is not very proficient.

This is still a very misused concept. They filed a grievance against the NFL not the Saints. Saints did not and can not designate the position that he was tagged. ...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 1:36 pm|
Which is why I said we would be better served to start grooming his replacement this year. I disagree about a rookie not coming in and playing a huge role. Meachem was hurt coming in as a rookie, but still had 24 per reception average and 3 TDs, Colston had a great rookie season, as did Graham, as d...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 1:00 pm|
Gradual decline or not the Colston today is not better than a #2 who is on his last legs. It does not change that we need a better player as our #1 WR. OBJ would be a great pick for us. ...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 12:32 pm|
I disagree. He was much better at catching and separating earlier in his career than he has been the last couple of years and last year was IMO a very noticeable drop off in ability. He is not a #1 WR any more. It is hard to let a player go and see them decline, but it is pretty obvious. ...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 12:12 pm|
We can disagree, but he is more of a post up WR than a YAC/Deep threat that can get separation out of his breaks like he used to. When he was drafted he had the fastest 10 yrd split of any WR coming out that year. Several knee surgeries later he is not the same player. At this point, IMO, he is a #2...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 11:55 am|
I understand what you are saying, but I disagree to the extent that we don't need a WR on the outside that can be a #1 threat. Graham gets shut down and Colston can not get separation any more. We need a guy that can get separation out of his breaks (not just a deep threat, runs good routes, and cat...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 11:51 am|
I agree, but I still stand by my point that WR is a big need and Colston is no longer a legit #1 WR on our team (even if you count Graham as our #1 threat).
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 9:44 am|
He is a solid #2, but a really good #3. If we need him to play as our #2 WR this year, we would be OK, but IMO we would be much better with a legit #1 to bump Colston to #2 (for the short term) and have Stills be our #3. Throw Graham into the mix and that is a pretty good receiving corps. ...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Draft Needs - Seeker on 4/7/14 at 9:22 am|
I do not see how any reasonable person can not think WR is a pretty big need.
Colston is our de facto #1 and he is on the down slop of his career. Stills is a good #3/solid #2. Outside of that he have a disappointing Toon and an injured Morgan. Don't let Drew Brees lighting up a defense fool you...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: Champ Bailey in town for visit - Seeker on 4/1/14 at 8:21 pm|
IF we signed him I could see him playing a similar role as Jenkins/Charles Woodson (late GB version). Flex player that can man the slot, shift outside, and play the third safety role. Kind of a jack of all trades and a wild card on defense. I don't think he would walk in as our #2, but woul...

I love these "source" articles. Reporters use it all the time, but never have to say where it came from. As far as I know though he has yet to even file a grievance, so even if a "source" as said this (agent or the reporter himself) we are a long ways away from having to worry about it. ...

| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: With all the new ATL signings... - Seeker on 3/19/14 at 11:54 am|
The issue with him is what defines a WR? A TE can stand next to the line and still be a TE. What happens when Graham lines up as a traditional TE and then goes in motion to a split out position?
Too much gray area to look at it like that. To me it is simple. TEs can split out as a WR, but I do n...
| New Orleans Saints Talk|| re: With all the new ATL signings... - Seeker on 3/19/14 at 11:49 am|
Actually his cap is accounted for this year. If/when he signs a long term deal, it will probably lower the cap number. Best case he signs a 4-5 year deal and continues to adjust Atl's goalposts. Worst case a team in the top 10 gives us 2 first round picks. I think he signs a long term deal or we kee...

Arenas is replacing Astante, so lateral move at best which has been Dom's M.O. and issue as a GM. He never seems to get ahead of needs, but only replaces what he looses with similar players....

You did not load up on defense. You are switching a 3-4 with a bunch of miscast players. Your secondary...
