I'm late but I'm here. Thanks for the baseball thread fellers. I was surprised no one whined about it being football season or what not. Can't wait for some Tiger baseball. We stacked......

re: A rule of thumb on changing point of impact on fixed sighted guns - upgrade
You did calculations for a .223. How about a pistol round like a .45 LC. I've heard that heavier rounds will impact high on targets several times. I didn't believe it, but in my model 10 .38, it proved true. I agree with the op. ...

re: Boat electrical. - upgrade
Led lights won't shine a good beam for driving. You could try upping wire size, but first check to make sure you don't have a wire shorting to the boat somewhere. That's the most likely problem. I assume the headlight are wired in parallel and not series. ...

re: Federal Fusion vs Core-Lokt - upgrade
I killed one deer with my 270 and it was with fusions. Bullet went in the front shoulder and destroyed it. Threw that shoulder away with no meat to salvage. Bullet exited, but somehow I did not get a blood trail. I know it doesn't make any sense, but that's what happened. Deer ran about 60...

re: Chevy truck discussion - upgrade
[quote]I prefer the newer small blocks to the older 305 and 350. Having owned both, I appreciate the flatter-feeling torque curve in the newer motors. I don't like peaky motors that you have to rev, but I don't want to feel like I'm driving a tractor either. The 4.8 and 5.3 were a better balance tha...

re: So I'm building a workshop, what else should I put in it? - upgrade
If the slab is in a good location for your shed I definitely wouldn't remove it. 36'x15' is a decent area, but you may find it hard to move things around, if you need to. I assume you were putting a garage door. Maybe think about two garage doors on different walls....

re: So I'm building a workshop, what else should I put in it? - upgrade
I'm thinking you should go wider than 15' if you can. 36'x15' is a good bit of area, but 15' is kind of narrow. Unless there's some big time reason you can't go wider, I'd go at least 20' wide, if not more. My shed is 24' x 30', they fill up fast, believe me. ...
