I used to run with a guy who had a rabbit pen. He'd catch rabbits in the wild and put them in his pen to train beagles. He swore 1/3 of rabbits would die from a heart attack before he ever let them go in his pen....

I can testify from first-hand/face/ear hole/nose hole/neck experience that 3 shots from <10ft with 12 ga #8 dove load from a modified choke will not kill as many as you think. In fact, I'm not sure I killed more than a handful. The hornets, however, are very efficient. ...

I don't dry mine out all the way. I usually vaccum seal it and toss it in the freezer once it's done. I don't know about cook time. As long as it isn't raw, it's done enough. I do mine on a smoker at about 225, so I don't know about oven times. ...

No matter what you mix up, it is going to be impossible to apply the exact amount per acre using a 2-gallon sprayer on that small of an area. Just make up 2 gallons and walk around and lightly spray the areas that are heavy in bahia. Some will die, and you'll miss some. Keep doing it every 10 day...

If you get those pots like Wick posted, make sure you either get the ones with casters on the bottom or a separate caster wheel base to go underneath it. That way in the winter you can wheel them up in the house to keep them from dying on really cold nights. You'll also want to be able to move them...

What time of the day are you baiting these hooks? The later in the day you wait to bait them, the less bream will pick them clean. Go down to a #1 hook. Not 1/0, #1. The smaller hooks catch better. I have a friend who fishes commercially, and swears by 1" square pieces of skipjack on #1 hooks. ...
