This can be a trap people fall in without realizing it. Sometimes people strive to be stellar at their "craft" and it's admirable. It can go too far though.
When you are many years in and all you do is work or think about work it's something else entirely. At that point it's hard to turn it off a...

I've got a trailblazer that has only ever had Mobil 1 in it. I did a compression test on the motor at 225k miles. There was effectively no compression loss on the motor at all.
This indicates no substantial wear in the cylinder bores or he piston rings even after all those miles. I've worked on ...

Sorry but the Gaugin looks amateurish. Look at the weird angle on the foot. It looks like something I would do and if you saw it without the reference of who did it, would think it suggested a lack of talent.
Also, the two subjects look like they belong in another painting with a different backg...

You do realize that it's like you are trying to deny the existence of the moon. So all of the soldiers who describe liberating the camps got together to fabricate the stories?

I went to Dachau in 2012. I know it wasn't considered an "extermination" camp, only a work camp. Do you know why? According to those at the camp, they couldn't supply enough coal to keep the ovens going.
According to the folks that were there, Dachau was supposed to be the model of all other camp...

I was joking about this the other day. I told a coworker that young me would have beat old me up for being a nerd.
I barely made it out of high school. I was literally ranked last in my graduating class. I work for a large company and work doing engineering type work all day. I have a very partic...

I have read tons of books on the subject. This book http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Company-Soldier-Legendary-Sergeant/dp/031256323X was probably the best I've read.
It's just one soldiers perspective on the war. It's a personal account of the war and its ongoing cost to a veteran. It was very powerfu...

Unfortunately, that is correct. While in Virginia my wife purchased a car and paid sales tax on it. When we moved to Louisiana I paid Sales tax on the car again.
Three years later we moved to Illinois and I knew it would only be for a few years. I had a couple of choices.
1. Pay sales tax on...
