It's also why Mainieri pulled Nola in the 7th and pitched McCune and LaMarche in the 9th down only a run. Not saying we would have won if we pitched our best guys...

As a freshman, he worked his way into the Friday role. Actually fared better with fellow-freshman Gausman that season.
