my xpress is aluminum hull not a fibeglass. I was told by an xpress dealer today that under the capet is alum also. I have only had the boat a week so i havent looked for myself but i'd be willing to bet that it is metal also under the carpet...

$1800 for carpet = no way in hell. I would definitly do it myself. however; if i do anything myself i would be much better at the paint which is cheaper and looks better. Im only wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with something simialer...
