re: New Ecoboost gas mileage. - SeaPickle
I dont have the eco but my 5.0 got better mpg all the way up until 20k miles. I average 13mpg (+/- 1mph depending on traffic) going down to cocodrie staying around 60mph :dude:. Lifetime im at 16.8mph. I would expect a little better than 8-9mpg even with your boat but wait until your motor breaks in...

Saturday - Game Day Cooking & Drinking - SeaPickle
What y'all got? Me and my little bro are at the deer camp bbq-ing: deer sausage from last years deer, ribs from the hog I killed earlier this year and corn and field pees that we grew in the garden. Washing it all down with some white cans. :lsu: ...

re: Recommend a hunting/outdoor related book - SeaPickle
From a recommendation from the OB in the last thread like this, I read "A Land Remembered" by Patrick Smith and it was a great book. also, from the same thread i bought "Open Season" by CJ Box. Its supposed to be a great book but after the first few chapters, i havent picked it up again :dunno: ...

Your nautical star is sitting on a tandem axel trailer with about 5-7% tongue weight. I have a single axel at about 10-12%. Your trailer is taking more weight. ...

re: How difficult is it to install a leveling kit? - SeaPickle
For leveling height, see my earlier post. I wouldn't go any higher than 2" though. In your other thread you can see my truck sitting almost level with my boat (3000lbs) and I'm at the stock rake like you. If I had a 2" level I would be nose high when towing (learned the hard way in my last truck) ...

re: How difficult is it to install a leveling kit? - SeaPickle
I'd go with the adjustable 5100 shocks. I had them on my last truck. They were great. To get the right height for your truck, measure from the center of the hub to the finder. Subtract the distance from the front from the rear. That will be the height you need to level. ...

re: Took the plunge and bought a new truck. - SeaPickle
To me, they are more than worth it. With no boat on the trailer, i couldn't see the trailer behind the truck when backing down the ramp. Backing up, i could never see the boat side opposite of where i was turning and i could hardly see cars behind me (and my boat isnt as big as a fiberglass bay boat...

They are the same size. In 2013 or so, i think, ford changed the f150 max tow mirrors to mimic the f250 mirrors. I bought these from 1A auto for $470. Ford wanted $1500 + to add the tow mirrors with power fold. [IMG]http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/i345/dcleme1/280AECEF-E3EB-4708-826D-0B84A043...
Nice truck BTW, except for the black color. You couldn't give me a black truck
Its actually Kodiak Brown. IT looks black at some angles or when it is dirty (like it was in the picture). Its goes great with the adobe interior. For $1000, im happy with my cloth  for the runnin...

That's some nice fish. where did y'all find them? I haven't been to Cocodrie since August and fished the island. I'm not a Dularge guy so I was at the mercy of my buddy. He had been on some nice trout earlier in the week but he couldn't find the hogs yesterday. ...
