re: Why doesn't Ben Simmons finish at the rim with his dominant hand? - atltiger6487
I've noticed this also. It's actually a problem because when he drives left and can only finish with his right hand, it's an off-balance shot. He has some great skills, but man, the lack of a jump shot and the inability to finish with his left are very odd for a guy of his ability. ...

re: 55 fouls called in a 40minute game - atltiger6487
very hard to watch. College refs can completely change a game, and that's one thing I really don't like about college basketball. Two cheap fouls on a star player and the game is changed. These are big, strong athletes moving quickly in a confined space. Allow some contact and let them play....
can't really compare this when you are talking about a guy who shoots from 20+ ft and a guy who shoots 95% of his shots within 5ft of the basket
how can anyone downvote this? Buddy shoots long range bombs. Ben doesn't shoot outside 8 feet. These are facts. My god, people, sto...
Every sports commentator in the country sees this except blind lsu fans
Dick Vitale (who I don't love) blows players and coaches as much as any commentator I've seen, but he absolutely BLASTED Simmons during the Oklahoma game. Begging him to be more assertive and take over. Musbu...

re: ESPN on Simmons - It's hard to appreciate a great player on a bubble team - atltiger6487
Is he a great potential of a great player?
this is a fair question. No doubt Simmons has some exceptional skills, especially for a 6'10" guy. In transition with the ball in his hands, he's just phenomenal. We all see that. But he has flaws in his game. I have to admit ther...
There's a huge difference in shooting them in practice vs in a hostile environment on the road.
sure, during a game, there's pressure. No doubt. But being in a hostile arena, on the road, shouldn't make a difference. The hoop is still 10 feet high, 15 feet away and there's ...
keep in mind that Bama won the NC with a great defense and the same 70's style offense we run.
Bama may also run a pro style offense, but that's where the similarities end. Kiffin is a much more imaginative and diverse play caller than us. They're unpredictable and mix run and...

re: Let's say Miles keeps the offense the same. - atltiger6487
also people need to remember that LSU runs a very complex 'pro style' offense that takes a QB 3-4 years to really learn. The coaches are going to hold the reigns back on the offense until that time. This will be Harris 3rd year, so we may see more on offense this season, but it probably won't...

re: If an LSU team had the off. stats of Denver in the SB, would there be complaints - atltiger6487
I'd be happy with the trophy, but I would at least be honest enough to admit that the defense won the game, not the offense. For a single game that we win, who cares. But over the course of a long season, you can't expect the defense to carry the load and force turnovers and score points every...
