Well, based on his conspicuous absence, I'm thinking he's the videographer for for Yeager's junket to the Bundy compound. Then again, my last two AAR requests were converted to some kind of Swahili//Bulgarian language, so the government may be restricting my 1st amendment rights. I wish he'...

I was gonna make that one, but I couldn't find that light for that cheap anywhere so I got the $8 scuba beacon. Ended up not even needing pvc pipe with it. It's definitely not as bright though...

Oh I totally plan on doing it again after I try it out this time. And again. And again. I considered getting epoxy putty and just leveling out the whole unaligned areas, but my only worry is if that doesn't hold up to flex it's gonna be harder to redo than silicon....

I flipped it over and siliconed the everliving shite out of the scupper hole seams, so hopefully even if that problem did exist I won't have it anymore. I could see where it could easily be a problem looking at the design though....

$550 + tax for the yak. About $150 for all the rest, hardware, crate stuff, fish bag, anchor trolley stuff, fish grips, flag and light, stuff to make the marsh pole, paddle, etc. I'm in it right about $770ish total, taxes shipping and everything for all of it. Which was exactly my budget when I s...
WTF is pre-cooling a cooler?
It's what makes these ice chests hold ice for so long, and it will make your igloo or coleman or whatever hold ice for that long too. If you make the ice chest cold with more ice the day before you use it, it will hold ice longer. It's the greatest...
Most people over drill the hole and over-tighten the bolt causing the rubber fitting to pull through.
I used 10-24 well nuts and machine screws. Forget the drill bit size but it takes a lot of force to push the nut through the hole after, so it's pretty tight. I do believe I was guil...

Also, can't really see in the pics, but I have a bicycle flag with 2 piece pole riveted to the crate (you can see the pole on the crate) and on the top of the flag, I got a SCUBA diving beacon light (cheapest I could find) that kinda fit in a 1/2" PVC end cap, drilled a hole the size of the pole in ...
Question on your setup though - would you do better swapping the fishbag and your cooler?
