I actually like the Tundras as long as its a double cab short bed. Have you seen the 2014? The interior is very nice, similar to a Ford, but the front end is absolutely hideous

If the car/truck has projectors you can take apart the headlights and paint everything but the lenses.
You can also do an HID retrofit kit with projectors and do the same . This is the route I went with my Tacoma

With a 4cyl the older Tacomas will usually get a little better.
With a V6 the second generation Tacomas get a little better mileage, especially in town. While the 4cyl Tacos are the same engine the V6s were upgraded from a 3.4l to the current 4.0L Dual VVTI.

I had an XBolt and really liked it. With that being said, I ended up selling it because once I bought my Tikka I quit carrying it to the stand.
ETA so as not to irritate downshift, I wouldn't choose a Tikka over a Kimber, Sako, or custom job...

It depends on what you need. I don't need a full sized truck so I'm on my third Tacoma. My Tacoma tows my boat just fine and its far superior off road to any truck short of a Raptor (the Raptor is too wide to drive the trails I take my Tacoma on)
